We saved between $250-500 by purchasing a whole loin and carving it up to make our own NY Strip steaks versus buying steaks from online butchers. In this video, we'll walk you through the process for tripping and cutting up your own steaks and how we prep them to be stored in the freezer. In retrospect in this video, we could have left the loin in our fridge for 28-45 days to wet age this loin in its original vacuum sealed bag.
