Barbecue enthusiast and native Texan Kelsey Pribilski is on a quest to find secret menu items at some of the best barbecue joints in Texas. This episode has Kelsey searching for local flavors in San Antonio with the help of accomplished chef and restaurateur Johnny Hernandez.

Great video!!! I have lived in Austin since 1977, but grew up in San Antonio. It's great to see your appreciation for all the new places that have cropped up in S.A. and their addition to the city's cultural community!!! Watching this made my decision to enjoy BBQ for lunch later today and will be heading over to Stiles Switch BBQ here in Austin! Again, great video of San Antonio!!!!

I just went to 2M for the first time a month ago and I feel like they are defining "SA Style" BBQ the same way Franklin made "Central Texas" style big.

King William was NOT San Antonio's first neighborhood. That honor goes to La Villita. But it was the city's first suburb. The Germans who settled in King William and gave the district its name came later, in the late 1880s. The neighborhood was named for King Wilhelm I of Prussia.

I’m not gonna lie this is the only bbq place where the sides are on the same level as the meat the chicharron macaroni ruined Mac and cheese for me and the elote is something I’ve been obsessed about since I tried it I’ve spent many nights trying to recreate the corn

Another cool episode! The food looked delicious. Looking forward to your DFW tour as that's my stomping grounds. I have my faves, but I'm betting you'll come up with something new I need to check out.

I've tried all but 2 of the BBQ places in the Texas Monthly Top 50 list North of I-20 and a hand full South of that line. This includes places (on the list) as far east as Joseph’s Riverport Barbecue in Jefferson and as far west as Stillwater in Abilene. Evie Mae’s in Lubbock was SOLD OUT by the time I got there (damn it), and Pody’s in Pecos was unexpectedly closed.... Uggg..... Long drive for zip! I've also been to Tyler’s in Amarillo. Of course the TM Top 50 list doesn't include ALL the BBQ places in the DFW area so I'm sure I'm still missing some good Q somewhere. IMHO the top 3 in DFW are.... Hutchins in McKinney, Pecan Lodge in Dallas and Cattleack in N. Dallas. Out of all the places I've tried (North of or along I-20) I would add Bodacious Bar-B-Q in Longview (on Mobberly) and Stillwater Barbeque in Abilene to my own personal faves list. Makin' me hungry just thinkin' about all these places...........

@@justinofficial. Hi Justin, We're glad you enjoyed season 2. Due to COVID-19 concerns, production of season 3 has been delayed, but we're hopeful for life (and BBQ) to get back to normal soon.
