There is a really easy solution to your Lezyne pump problem. Once you’re done inflating the tire, unscrew the pumps hose from the pump first before then removing the hose from your valve. If you do this, you won’t have to deal with the pressure built up by pumping pulling the valve core out of your valve. Took me a minute to learn that trick myself, but have had my Lezyne pump for at least seven years and love it a lot.

Nice ride! The West coast is so much fun. One day, soon I hope we'll be able to get out for a tour. Agree that a pay for experience needs to be worth it in some way. Unique trails, features, service, something that makes it worth the $. Gets the hook into you so you always want to return. Keep up the good work! Stress less, ride more!

I have that Lezyne pump for over a year now and I never took out my valve cores with it.

I also had the lezyne pump, and never had problem with pulling out my valve, but when I lended it to my friends (two of them) their valve came out. I guess that you have to have it in there pretty tight.

There’s a ski resort here in Oregon with a black diamond run called rock garden and that mountain also has a couple of mountain bike trails I don’t know if the lift takes bikes though

I actually have that same problem with the pump you were using. I don’t have my own but when I get a flat and I don’t have a pump my buddy’s got that one. Takes ages to get the valve stem in.

Considering how much you love rock rolls, you need to visit Moab Utah and ride slickrock trail, the whole trail is just a ten mile loop on rock rolls

I've the exact same pump and its great but have to make sure valves are tight before putting it on and then there no problem

When I went to Golden there was a massive storm and the town was chaos. There was a bunch of firetrucks driving around like crazy

You gotta press the button on the pump head to let the air out of the hose. Skipping that step is why it removed your valve core.

The grouse! We have wild turkeys here and I chased one a good 50m down a trail once...it just didn't want to yield the trail to me.

If you ever make your way out to California again you should go to Simi Valley and check out the trails there

You're supposed to push that little button on the hose head of the pump before unscrewing it, that allows the presta to pop back up. If you do that the core will not unthread. I have that pump and it's in the instructions. I know it's not yours, but anyone that bought it should know that.

I swear that first dropoff is where some people came off and broke their hips, it was on a documentary
