4 жыл бұрынManaged to find this on the Global News website. Then Premier of British Columbia, Glen Clark was raided by the RCMP, over allegations of interfering in a casino licence. In exchange for the license, the casino applicant would have allegedly built a sundeck for Clark. BCTV was on site during the raid, and showed a perplexed Clark pacing around his home.
The ensuing scandal caused Clark's resignation later that same year.

This is just something you don't see on TV now -- a solid, uninterrupted block of journalism, even reporting on claims of supposed entanglement with law enforcement. The BCTV news team should be applauded for their coverage of this whole thing.

I think this particular graphics package for BCTV was used from January 4, 1999 to August 31, 2001.

Good god I miss BCTV. I was 10 when this was going on and wasn't paying any attention, but looking back at the quality of journalism is just wild to me. My dad still catches the News Hour today, but I watch with him when I'm visiting and while I like Chris and Sophie, it's constant rage-baiting and sensationalising. Shameful and basically unwatchable. I've switched to paper delivery.
