Awakening Maegu was super strong even before the buffs, now it's just crazy. Think of it kinda like sorc on steroids that can chase basically any class in the game...
Yea I became a sorc traitor for this class. Give sorc a fraction of these options for movement, front loaded damage, grab punishes, heals etc and I'll come back to it. I'm just too tired of endlessly chasing people on sorc that playing something OP is a nice breath of fresh air ;-;

Got to note that the vast majority of the clips presented in this montage are Z buff clips, which may be a bit misleading. Very curious about how Amaegu performs on AoS and pvp in general without a Z buff. Great video nevertheless!

I rarely stiff but space in preawak is a ranged stiff. My cc chain is almost always float -> knockback -> float, RMB in awakening being the knockback. Here's the addons I use: imgur.com/a/8LmyCc1

@@nocookiesforyou how do u not use RMB accidentally? Any tips? I always accidentally used RMB, so by the time i wanna do knockback, its on CD sometimes. DO u get use to it by muscle memory?

The class has good protected damage and movement and good mix of FG and SA to trade. It does have some unprotected high risk high reward attacks too. You need to use preawakening though to stay protected without running out of stamina and staying protected can take some getting used to but once you do its quite easy.

Any class that can outright trade you or slow you while staying full SA will usually give you a hard time like awakening sorc, guardian & scholar, and the few classes that can catch me I'd say is ranged grabs like lahn, hash and nova, and crazy blockjumps like succ hash or another awaegu... It's really strong in 1v1 against most classes if you're good as RMB is essentially the perfect counter to grabs and you can trade with your FG dmg and range.

Hey, just wanted to ask what is BlockJumps? U meantioned "crazy blockjumps" , i heard this term alot but never knew what this means ;)

@@ARW6 It's basically any quick movement that can go behind blocks. Some classes like Hash and Ninja have "blockjumps" meaning skills that when pressed will move you exactly behind the enemys fg and cc them. Classes like awakening Nova and Awak maegu don't have singular skills that do that but can still move super quickly behind a block and then do a CC skill after.

Been playing her since it came out and she's fine. Her damage is good but highly dependant on air attack and having high accuracy. Personally I'd say thats good balance. Having up front damage with conditions plus the fact that she doesn't bring any major debuffs since they gutted the pre-awk at release. There are plenty of classes that have just as much frontloaded damage without any air attack requirement, less gaps if any and the ability to keep constant slows up.

The only truly OP thing about her in my opinion is rhapsody (after the changes) which is both OP and super easy to use. Playing against it is completely stupid and basically makes FG a outdated form of protection... That alone plus having a very good kit overall I'd say is enough for her to be OP in her current state. I think shes super strong in pretty much all areas of PvP, just a bit harder and more gear dependent in uncapped. I'd honestly prefer to see rhapsody nerfed at some point but maybe give her some decent options instead of it. The rest of the kit is actually very skill based and "fair" but rhapsody is everything but...

@@nocookiesforyouI would agree but spiral canon/torpedo, murderous intent, sea mist etc have been in the game forever and the devs seem to think its fine to just ignore FG. At least she has no grab. The only FG ignoring mechanic they've nerfed is kuno but thats pretty much what kuno life has always been.

@@EmpyreanDreamer Yeah but those skills don't have the same range as w+rmb into Rhapsody. It's the fact that you're never safe from a maegu using a protected blockjump that makes the class so oppressive to play against.

@@nocookiesforyouTo be fair striker has a lot of ways to get on you almost instantly and go into a spiral. But even if it isn't as good he's also 10x tankier than a Maegu will ever be and has 2 grabs. Sea mist is about the same distance and is deceptively fast and thats a ranged class. Personally I just don't think she's that crazy. I'd still rather fight another maegu than a sorc or tamer any day of the week. Who knows how things will change though if the elusive pvp changes they promised ever show up lol.

For AoS I use two Ronaros rings and two Vagabond earrings (the ones that give BSR recovery) and everything else is standard full ap. I'd also recommend using Ignore Knockback & Float crystals in both your awakening and offhand as pretty much all of your combos will be float -> knockback -> float anyways. @@acedenz4035 My combos are pretty much always float -> knockback -> float, and make sure to use one filler skill during the knockback in the middle of the combo. An example would be a/d + rmb -> S+F -> S + RMB -> RMB (Knockback) -> Shift Q -> S + LMB (Float) -> Q -> Shift LMB -> Shift F -> a/d + rmb (It will be back off CD again) -> F to finish off.

She needs quite a bif of accuracy if you wanna do damage to evasion targets but I imagine a tanky eva build could be very strong on her if you wanna play as kinda a CC bot.
