I like how the very title sets up a person who has doubts about divine healing for failure. I had a child who had all manner of issues. From hydrocephalous to an ecoli brain infection to blood pressure issues, seizures, you name it. My father gave me a book regarding John Lake, and I eventually decided I wanted to find out what happened to the teaching and found this Curry Blake fellow. Now, mind you, I'm probably not even a Christian. I can say Jesus is Lord and believe that he rose from the dead, or at least I probably did at one point, but I didn't know how that applied to my life at all. Hearing all this stuff, and thinking you are in the new covenant and all that fills your head with the great possibilities that a person in the new covenant would be provided, again by grace, not by works. You then become mindful of the fact that you just don't see that these days. Makes you think of the candle under the basket instead of being hung up. Well, I went to work on all of it. I listened to his healing teaching 3 different times. I even laid hands on some people. I laid my hands on my son many times. Nothing happened. And consider this: I watched in horror when he had these seizures. And he had them frequently. I thought I was "doing something wrong," so I went down there to TX, with the intention to move there. Now mind you, I had a fairly good resume, not the best. And I had some job leads. But the thing that I needed was for God to heal my son. I go there and one of Curry's people laid hands on him. Nothing. More seizures, more misery. I was defeated. Now, I had to pick everything back up and go back home...but I didn't have a home where I came from because my lease had ended. I spent the next 2 years living with my parents in law. Curry had a divine healing teaching in Bismarck, ND one year. I thought that even though things hadn't gone well for my son, I would still go up and have Curry lay his hands on my boy. I got there, and I could see the look on his face: that look of pure disdain. Yeah, he laid his hands on him, but you could tell it was perfunctory and that was that. Well, he still had his seizures. Ok...so now, Curry, you may have seen me as some carpetbagger for just coming to the last meeting. But you didn't see the torture we had experienced. And now that son has died, and so has any potential of my seeing God in Judgment. I'm so far gone that nothing will help, as my rebellion against God is based upon the filthiness of what is His church. Curry withheld the kingdom of God from a child. And God let's him continue "ministering" to people supposedly. Tell me, did the father whose boy hurled himself into the fires in Matthew 17 have faith? Did he have to go more than a few days where these foolish disciples had foolishly withheld the Kingdom from him? And look how he acted. HELP MY FAITH he screamed, as he had heard how these same men had healed many other people and set others free from demons. And Jesus was angry at his disciples for just that one error in withholding the kingdom from that man's boy. Now, tell me...will the Judge of all the world not apply Matthew 7 to this worker named Curry R Blake? Oh, I'm sure I'm "misunderstanding" something. A fat lot it will do my child. See you in the judgement pal. It's a shame your denial of the Kingdom to a boy won't get any glory for Jesus. Or do you think it will? You say you made a vow at your daughter's funeral. I buried a boy because you decided to withhold that which was in your power to give. What am I supposed to do...forgive you? I'll tell you, that's not going to be an easy task.
