I met him last week in Glasgow walking down the street. A special moment for me. What a talent and so humble.

Justin Currie is by far one of the best singer songwriters of our time and he is so under the radar that it’s a shame. Always one of my go to artists as well as Del Amitri! This performance is such a showcase of what Justin is all about and his talent just pours out into a glass that we are all holding! Ty for posting. I will be coming back to this many times!

Well I nearly drowned on dry land watching this! I was holding my breath whilst soaking up the moment. Such a treat to hear/watch a true musical genius transfix an audience, and to step away from the mic, knowing the power of his voice alone would make it more personal to the crowd makes Justin the best songwriter and solo guitarist I know. Thanks for sharing.

Music that makes the world a tiny bit better in such dark times. Justin knows pain, and he can say it and sing it with such heart and soul that you ache for not being there in that moment... Loved Del Amitri for so many years. So, so underrated. Bloody music industry knows FA if they can leave DA in the shadows of fame while pushing the crap that tops the charts regularly. He’s a treasure. Well done, Justin x

Crushing video! The combo felt so right together! JC as I’ve said numerous times, he is right up there with in my world the best song writer JC, Bob Dylan, Robert Hunter, Robert Smith… however JC hit home more often , so so so happy to get a chance to see DA this spring in US.

I don’t understand why Justin doesn’t teach fans his classic songs to play at party’s to let these songs be around forever!🤔

This was great - Justin at his best. I wish I had been there as I've never heard him play Drowned On Dry Land - one of his best songs. There is a funny at 4.59 - he got Broken and Choking the wrong way round and you can see that he realised his mistake.

I saw this man 3 times in Philadelphia. Once with del Amitri and twice as a solo artist. He is the epitome of a singer-songwriter. He sounds just as good live as he does in the studio! I wish he would come to Phoenix!

I believe Phoenix is on the 2022 tour for del Amitri. If you Google it you should find the tour dates.

Did he play all of Drowned on Dry Land at Leeds ? At Newbury , a Scottish member of the audience sang the first two lines and Justin sang the third, but that was it !

Probably because someone thought it would be a good idea to give him a backing vocal all the way through it. Aye, like we paid to hear YOU sing it. (sigh)

Lovely filming... only ruined by someone singing along almost as loud as him.. Almost made me stop watching.. Drowned... is exemplary, though. They shouldn't let audiences into gigs... lol
@cmcc37214 жыл бұрын
They paid for that privilege tbh.
@johnalancarmackofficial57734 жыл бұрын
I disagree with you as far as somebody singing along...to me in part that is what made this performance as special as it is! Songwriters want you to sing with them!
