Fun fact in the original song Jeremy Irons sang most of the song but developed voice problems before he could finish. So Jim Cummings sang the part from "Coup of the Century" onward having apparently having recorded his own vocals of the song. Cummings managed to mimic Irons voice so well that most people don't notice the switch.

I love the way this makes you realize how hardcore and well-read, and DARK this character and this story and this WRITING and this casting was (I love Jeremy irons and didn’t know he was the voice of scar in this movie. I was little when The Lion King came out. This song is actually terrifying. But weirdly, I don’t remember being particularly disturbed by it then.
