Jeremy iron actually lost his voice when scar says you won’t get a sniff without me. The rest of the song is performed by Jim Cummings

Scar is easily one of the scariest villains in Disney. Fitting, as his inspirations were some of the nastiest people in history, namely Hitler, Lenin, and Stalin. The hyenas marching is a reference to Nazis, and the end shot of the mountain over the crescent moon is a reference to the hammer and sickle emblem of the Soviets. Basically dunking on Fascism and Communism in one go.

Not my favorite villain in Disney's anthology, but it is my favorite villain song. I love how it's just Scar insulting the hyenas while plotting his brother and nephew's murders for 3 and 1/2 minutes straight.

I've only just realised the Hyenas are marching like the nazis. This song wasn't allowed in the remake because Disney no longer owned the copyright, that's why you only hear a little of the song spoken rather than sung.

Not actually, the marching is cloned from the "Triunph of the will", the movie about the Nazi regime, which also includes the Cathedral of light, which are all the lights rising to the sky

It could be interpreted that way, but the story artist of the film actually put that as a reference to a Nuremburg rally. Which makes sense considering Hitler was one of the inspirations for Scar.

I find it really shocking, that none of them understood obvious comparison to the USSR. The way hienas march is the same as the red army marched. Communism promised the same prizes as Scar, land, peace and food. Also the cult of the supreme leader.
