Be the hero of your own movie. If your life was a movie and it started now. Forget about whatever financial disasters you've had, personal failures, relationship failures. What would the hero of your life's movie do right now.
Do That, do those things!
We define ourselves far to often by our past failures. We look at our past and we say, "well that's me." That's not you. You are this person, right now. You're the person who's learned from those failures and you can choose to be the hero of your own movie right now.
Write down your goals. Write down things you want to improve. Write down things you won't tolerate from yourself. Write down things you've done in the past that you never want to see yourself do again. And go fourth, from here as the hero of your own movie.
Build momentum. Build confidence and momentum with each good decision that you make from here on out. You can do it, anyone can do it. We live in unique times. We live in one of the rarest times in human history. Where you can choose almost all the input that comes your way. Whether its the movies that your watch. The books your read. The podcasts you listen to. You can choose to be inspired.
Do That and be the hero of your own movie.

glad i came across this today. totally agree with Joe. far too often we define ourselves by our past failures. When Thomas Eddison was asked about his development of the light bulb he was quoted as saying "I have not failed 1,000 times. I have successfully discovered 1,000 ways to NOT make a light bulb." We only fail if we choose to let the unsuccessful circumstances define our existence. I for one CHOOSE not to fail.

I´m now at the very beginning of changing my life.. I´ll keep it real, I got this video sent to me from my brother and I´m kinda loaded... But something in that message just made me cry... I´ve been through years of pain, failure, misery.. Fucked over by my ex wife, not being able to see my children.. falling into an addictive cycle of giving up.... on me and life itself... drug and alcohol abuse... leading to me losing my job. home, family. I believe now I am starting to see it like this message intended me to.. I wrote down what Joe listed. I have now begun to realize that my new life starts now.... Thanks for the little push Joe Rogan... I´ll tweet ya if I made it.

Joe is a HUGE inspiration for me. He has so much knowledge, and wisdom, and I learn a lot from him. The guy does everything. He's the bad ass, tough version of Ryan Seacrest. He's doing EXACTLY what I want to be doing. Running a highly successful, and entertaining podcast, and works for the UFC, while also training in MMA. He's definitely someone I look up too, and idolize.
