You two are just great folks! So relatable. And yes your comments about the campsites being reserved and unused can be a problem. We have seen some parks which have notices that if you’re not checked into your campsite or set up by a certain time then the campsite is released for use. This benefited us one night last summer in NE Washington state.

Even if it wasn’t the grandest adventure, it’s great to see you two back in the saddle and sharing the ups and downs with us. We went to glacier park last summer in MT and the traffic was similar but you had to have a reservation for the gate you wanted to use. I messed that up, got the wrong gate on the other side of the park, so we took a tour bus. Good thing because the roads were all torn up and gravel, so the MCs would not have gone up the road anyway. I regularly camp here in Ontario Canada, & the campsite scalpers have bought all the campsites, & then resell them at a profit., including any penalties they" ve incurred . So far all the parks have been able to do is try to fine them for dirty campsites,.. It's become a huge problem here ,& is aggravated by parks that have dropped first come first served campsites. Our popular parks now look like where you are...vacant.!!

Just got my Harley out of the garage for the first time since December last year but too rainy and cold to ride today. I'm looking forward to riding when it gets warmer weather and possibly do some camping.

So, the question is, do you miss being on the road? We sold our camper/toy hauler as my wife’s health is declining and it wasn’t conducive to add the stress of the preparation for travel.

WA coast water temp is cold! I have been to all the Olympic Peninsula coastal beaches, Kalaloch beaches, Ruby, LaPush beaches, and Rialto, also beaches further south at Ocean Shores, Long Beach, ocean temp is approx 53-55 degrees year round. Even the lakes on the Peninsula are cold, i.e., Lake Crescent, very popular tourist lake, water temp in summer is high '50's to low 60's. Also, there are no lifeguards on the beaches, very dangerous rip currents.
