Beach Fossils have been a favorite band of mine since they first came out of Brooklyn in the early 2010. Their "What a pleasure" EP, with its wistful and dreamy sound, remains a high water mark for me but I've thoroughly enjoyed their evolution on every subsequent release. So how is it that I've only gotten to see these fine fellows only once, and more than 10 years ago at that?
When the band hit the Twin Cities on their 2023 Bunny Tour, I simply had to be there. I could never get enough of a Beach Fossils show and no set list of theirs can possibly include everything I'd love to hear. So while I was happy to hear old favorites like "What a pleasure", "Adversity" "Shallow" , "Crashed out", and "Daydream", I equally enjoyed hearing the robust interpretations of songs from their last couple of albums, "Summersault" and "Bunny". Great show all around...
