Not really, when one finds their other inseparable half and lives to old age love brings satisfaction. Even when the other part of you dies when that special someone is gone at such a brittle age all you want to do is be thankful and die with your memories still intact.

@@BatkoBrat Exactly! This channel has this weird effect of feeling nostalgic for songs that you haven't listened to, movies you haven't watched and emotions you never felt before. Surreal. This channel introduced to me a whole new genre of music which I categorise (pardon my choice of genre. That's how I perceive it. Feel free to correct.) as 'Dream Pop' and some of my favourite artists related to the above genre such as 'Beach House', 'Castlebeat', 'Cigarettes after Sex'.

@@StellarStreak Yes! This kind of music also makes me feel sad, but happy at the same time. I can't explain it really, but it is a mix of complex emotions which is beyond simply sadness or happiness.

@@BatkoBrat The emotions are very hard to put into words. But you listen to them nevertheless. I have made a playlist of the songs I liked from the videos that I have seen from the youtube channel. It's great playlist to do a lots of things. They are good to take a walk, contemplate or just sit back and relax as you try to make sense of the weird mixture of emotions the songs evoke.

I love the lyrics, at the beginning it conveys the meaning about how hard it's to believe we can love and be loved, due to the constant commercial aspect of it we meet in our daily lives. At the end it conveys how we can't actually live without it when we actually meet it in real life. The "I really wanna know" represents billions of people that question it everyday and it also changes meaning two times in the song.

I adore beach house ever since high school. I have suffered through so much heartbreak within myself, family and love. I constantly told myself I deserve this, everything that is thrown at me. I contemplated suicide a couple of times but a part of me told myself that I have to accept this pain and accept the fact that I was put on this earth to accept a painful and heartbreaking life because it is what I deserve. I’m 22 now and in a happy/healthy relationship with someone who understands me and will be moving in with them on Friday. Anyone who is going through this pain don’t ever think you’re nothing and let that dark cloud hanging over you win. It’s truly not worth it turn to things that make you feel alive and happy to keep your mind busy. Pain is temporary, happiness is a lifetime.

Is it just me or does this typa genre make y’all love pain and misery, I mean I’ve been hurt and I don’t ever wanna feel that feeling again but listening to Beach house makes me dwell on my pain, it makes me crave for a love I’ve never truly felt, something foreign. This feeling of dwelling on my memories is addictive n I feel as though I don’t ever wanna escape because I love it hear, I love this lonely feeling.

you know cyborg, every time you upload a video and I'm like "oh I know this song, let's see what movie they chose"(which is often the case) I feel like I experience the song, as well as the mere sensation of moving pictures in whatever context, as something entirely new. I probably listened to this song a hundred times, but this time it still felt different. I understood the lyrics. I felt it like it was the first time. Also, I think I'm going to start writing more poetry again. Maybe I'll post some of it in comments if I get inspired by your edits. _I am longing for a feeling of uncertainty, a fresh breeze through my hair, a little flower by the side of the road, gently throwing me out of my routine and telling me "this. this is what you started this for. this is what makes you you. this is worth loving for." the feeling of being held, if temporary, but at least I will know what love means again. if just for a second._

I listen to this song when I need to feel as if someone is taking care of me because “They take the simple things inside you, and put nightmares in your hands” they did since I was a kid but I know cptsd has the tendency to lie to me , to blur parts of my reality. However this song always makes it seem as if someone is telling me that they see me , that they understand why I constantly feel exhausted and alone. Thank you Beach House 🖤✨
