Hello fans. I'm composer and sound-engineer. I wanna say, the dreamy effects here I've never seen this pulled-off successfully before---until now. They are using an alternate, historical tuning. This is harkening to the JS Bach era (before equal temperment tuning). What's wild is that even though the keyborards do sound wobbly and woozy, they actually accentuate some intervals more purely (as in more natural). I'm guessing that the guitar is tuned to the historical tuning of the synth (Valotti, or Kirnberger tuning, i think). Either that, or the guitar is tuning to Just-tuning (pure tuning), and is interacting with the keyboards own tuning. Anyway, just saying, this is quite genius shit they are doing, i must say. The only other song i heard this effect being attempted is a Flaming Lips song (from the Yoshimi album). But the effect is so sickening and nauseating that i'm not even going to recommend referencing it. Beach House is all you need! Kudos to all the SENSITIVE listeners who have come here. Rejoice, for you are connected!
