i had multiple suicidal attempts. i cried every night. this man made me feel like nothing is holding me there. i was ready to end it all because i wanted him to know how i felt because my tears never meant anything to him. i forgave him. today he hurt me again and in attempt of asking of apology(yes, I it was me who asked, he never said it) he said “i have a right to ignore you and i will” and “bye”. i’ve been crying for 3 hours straight and and it doesn’t seem to stop. i have wonderful friends, i have 7 rats & dog, i have my family, i have plans for future but he always makes me want to stop trying. to give up. he left me alone after hurting me. something is changing in me this night. this is actually the first time i don’t have suicidal thoughts. it still hurts like hell. it still burns in my chest. but this time i choose to stay. i choose to try. i won’t give up. i hope every person on earth who suffers this night will find their happiness. after all sleepless nights, we deserve this. 💫

My friend/co-worker Jeremy Richman had moved himself and his family to Connecticut in the early 2000s. He had a lovely little girl around 2006 and she attended Sandy Hook. Her name was Avielle.. I was in the Army and remember leaving Germany the same day I heard the news.. Jeremy's little girl was taken. This hit much harder because I was a new father at the time and my first son had just turned 1. Jeremy co-founded the Avielle Foundation, which was a non-profit that had a lot to do with mental health. He took his own life in 2019. Now my kids are 8 and 12. I kiss them goodnight and tell them I love them, every night. I tell them I love them every time I drop them off at school.. you never know if that'll be the last.
