Great podcast! I always talk to any livestock I come across when out for a stroll. I think they enjoy it too. BTW, at the ripe old age of 64, I have started riding (western) for the first time in 40 years. You have been a big inspiration in motivating me to just do it! So thanks Esme.

This is so inspiring and i absolutely love your videos your the reason i started riding i remember 4 yrs ago i asked my parents if i can start riding and i said to them " i saw this girl who was riding horses ! " And that girl was you when iw as on my way to my first lesson i was watching one of ur videos i think it was the pony camp one:))

The celebrity twin I see for you is the woman who played Cinderella in Disney’s live action and on Mamma Mia 2. But I think it is mostly the British accent and the blond hair with dark roots 😂

Just remember that when Lenny bucks you off it’s never the horses fault the saddle or bridle can be too big or small or you might be doing something else wrong. But all I have to say is no matter what happens is never the horses fault.

Yes check that everything is not too tight and that he's OK with the bit. Also check that he's not harbouring any minor injuries, rash, tooth-decay... A million things will make a horse hard to handle. I remember I tried riding a rather feisty gelding or stallion who at first kept bronco-ing me off. Eventually we turned it into a game; where after I'd ridden him a while he had to throw me off because I couldn't be bothered to dismount.
