We have to keep moving forward or we'll be carrying that weight backwards and our backs will become crooked and we'll never move again.

Traditionally I've been listening to this song at the very beginning and end of every year ever since Somersault came out, so for the 7th time already. It always reminds me of the vibe around New Year's and Christmas, lots of tea, mulled wine and catching up with old friends I haven't seen in months or years, and then promising each other how we'll spend more time together and hang out more this year. Crazy to think how much my life has changed (for better and for worse) and how much the whole World has changed since this song and album came out. Thank you Dustin, Tommy and Jack for this wonderful album.

My dads employee I used to work with during my summers (about 5 years older than me) just put this song on his story today and I’ve just been introduced to Beach Fossils and I already listened to this entire album. It could not have come into my life at a better time. Really needed some music like this in my life right now..

Cannot believe this album came out 6 years ago

To all the people complaining that it doesn't sound enough like Clash The Truth or What A Pleasure or whatever album you think... seriously just stop. They are trying their hardest to please ALL their fans, and that's hard to do when you all want different things. It is so hard for bands like Beach Fossils to please everyone because people want new sounds or styles, so they try and then they might get hate because a majority might hate it. PLEASE all I ask is to just support them if you like them, and respect the choices they make with their sound, because they are trying so hard, plus this is only ONE song out of the whole album, who knows what the rest might sound like? It might be a mix of all 3 albums, you really don't know! It's their sound, they can do what they want. All I can say is that we love you guys and we're here to support you

So after having listened to this here, are my thoughts... I'm not upset, but more taken aback or surprised at the fact that they reverted to the simplicity and easy going vibe of 1st and 2nd album. Which doesn't mean it's a bad thing, i just thought they'd go with something more crazy like clash the truth. But that being said: I'm glad they decided to perfect thier original sound (production quality of the first album sucked, and what a pleasure sounds good but still uses drum machine). It sounds very reminiscent of something I don't know, mature yet young, sombre yet hopeful. Only complaint: we waited 5 years for 11 tracks General consensus: great track. In time for summer (my favorite season). I'm happy thier maturing

I've been waiting for so long!!

OMG, literally like a week ago I was like, "When the crap are Beach Fossils coming out with new stuff!?" And here we are! I love this. BUT I'm curious, did they lose their drummer from Clash The Truth? He really added that power to the amazingness of what they have. This sounds more like what would have been on their DEBUT LP, which is fine because I love both their LPs as well as What a Pleasure. Personally, I don't know if they could ever write a song as good as "Shallow" but we'll have to see. That is a song that works in the What a Pleasure way AND on the Clash the Truth version which is what I mean about their "former (?)" drummer since, to me, the Clash the Truth version of "Shallow" is so elevated because of the drumming. Either way, it's good to finally hear good music from this band. It is certainly 100% Beach Fossils but I can definitely hear a big Wild Nothing influence, particularly if you listen to Wild Nothing's "Shadow."
