Just bought a bunch of beads to make dangles for journals that I make for my Etsy shop, and was perusing KZfaq for ideas, and next thing I know I am looking at jewelry, and of course now I want to make some, lol. Found you channel, great tutorial. New subbie here, would love to be crafty KZfaq friends! Tfs

Wow! I had searched up and down looking for information on how to make jewelry just like those insanely expensive necklaces that are sold online. Thank you for these wonderful tutorials. You showed me more options than I had imagined. I am looking forward to creating pieces with Delicas and other small beads, too.

I LOVE these earrings! I would never have thought of using wire guardians in this way if it wasn't for you. I love the beading chain too, it looks very high end. 👌 I have a pair of earrings that I wear all the time, and, after I started making jewellery, I realised what the earrings were made of and how easy it would be to make them. They're just shepherd hooks with 3 different lengths of tiger tail hanging from them ( all 3 lengths are folded over the loop at the bottom of the hooks, and are crimped) and they have light weight glass beads hanging from the tiger tail, with tiny crimps on the ends, to keep the beads on. So, all you need is: shepherd hooks, clear tiger tail, tiny crimps, and beads. And a pair of chain nose pliers and some wire cutters.I like using a couple of larger, pretty, matching beads, one on each earring, to provide a focal point. And then I just use 4 other beads, 2 on each earring, that look good with the focal beads. You can really use your imagination with these and use beads that are totally different in shape and size, but have the same colours in them. Or do something completely different. Sorry for going on for so long 😄, and thank you for this great video. Love from Amanda in Australia ❤ xox

Finally learned how to make even peyote. Thank you. I've had 2 strokes so beading is kind of difficult so I finally pinned my work to my bead mat and can use both hands to string. Can even keep my tail out of the way with a pin in the mat. Thank you for all you do, I'm amazed you can figure out the weaves to show us how to make such lovely jewelry. Thank you.

Hello, Thank you for sharing the correct way to order coreana chain. I have tried to find this type of chain using "coreana" chain and it was difficult. I found spools on Amazon, I also found the end caps received them they look so tiny. I found very few 1mm in the Firemountaingems website . They had many 1.1mm will that work?
@GGCBeginningbeaders
@GGCBeginningbeaders 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that will work. You may have to tighten your crimping by turning the crimp in the tool as I show on the video or order .5mm chain.

What size chain wire do you use when using the wire guardians?
@GGCBeginningbeaders
@GGCBeginningbeaders 3 жыл бұрын
You can use many sizes of wire, there are also at least two sizes of guardians, that I know of, perhaps more. You have to read the hole size when in the description when buying wire guardians. I believe the smaller size has a .5 mm hole and works great with fine wires and thread. The bigger guardians, like I used in the video, have a 1 mm hole and works great with the beading chain which is .6mm and with medium diameter wires. I cannot give you exact sizes because I do not know exact diameters of all the different wires off the top of my head. My best advise is to read hole diameter and thread diameters when ordering.

You make crimping look so easy. I have a horrible time crimping...and crimp cover beads, forget it, it's not happening for me.
@GGCBeginningbeaders
@GGCBeginningbeaders 3 жыл бұрын
It usually is a problem because of the crimp beads themselves, you need quality crimps. That’s why I use Beadalon, make all the difference in the world...I don’t use any others.
