There's better ways to do testing, that doesn't involve animals, but the companies that sell these animals to labs have highly paid lobbyists at the FDA, so the FDA requires animal testing, rather than the better options. It's absolutely disgusting. These companies are bringing in billions, and it's all on the back of torturing animals, because they've lobbied the FDA to make it a legal requirement.

The shaking might not have anything to do with being “poked with needles” - it could be a reaction to being removed from a known environment into an alien one. A lot of labs are against the abuse of their test animals, but they can’t be sure whether some staff might just be nasty, a bit like being anywhere in the world outside a lab.

We DON'T have to test on them; it's a proven fact that, at this point, animal testing is no longer necessary. But there's money to be made in testing, and when heartless bastards think they can get a piece of that big pharma money, groups like Fauci's NIH apply left and right for "scientific testing" grants and experiments. It's never about the betterment of human health; it's ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY.
