The thing about pets is that it's so damned hard to be in a bad mood when they're around. Especially if you give them tonnes of love and play time. They're so freaking happy, loving and playful. I think it literally gives you a couple of years more to live because of all the oxytocin and endorphins you release when you're with them. It brings your stress way down. I have a cat and he's not aloof and reserved like many cats can be. He's ultra playful and affectionate and make all sorts of wierd chirping noises. Sleeps ontop of my head :D Damn, I love that little, goofy ball of fur.

All I can hear is... "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" over and over xD So precious. We had a puggle who belonged to my dad, and everytime he would come home from work. She was all over him. When my dad passed away in 2009. I knew she would never be the same again. She became my baby. This year we had to put her down due to not only her collapsing outside my apartment (Which scared the shit out of me.) but she wasn't eating, and seemed like she was having breathing issues. She also sounded like she was in pain. She was 15 mind you. So she was an old lady. Putting her down was really hard..

@Jess W urm any animal has the potential to kill. Some animals are abused before you get them and have behavioural triggers, others are mishandled. With correct training and management a dog can be more loyal than any human by a factor of 100. Yes there are breeds that have more volatile natures because that is how we humans have bred them to be but a well trained well behaved dog is one i would tryst over someone with a fear and obvious prejudice for the species.

I wonder why you guys always add the word 'unconditional'? There is nothing here that is unconditional.
@Jack-rk7jc5 жыл бұрын
@@JTST1234 Are you unaware of what unconditional means? They haven't seen eachother for 3 months and the dog immediately jumps onto him and snuggles in like a puppy again. That's the definition of unconditional. He wasn't there to feed him, pet him, or walk him, and the dog still loves him. So idk what you're getting at it. Maybe you're a petty cat owner lmao
@JTST12345 жыл бұрын
@@Jack-rk7jc Lol, that aint the meaning of unconditional. The dog was simply missing the master. This way, the wife, the children etc all show unconditional love. If the dog acts like that with a stranger I'll consider it unconditional. Unconditional love is too high and lofty for human standards. It doesn't have conditions. Its loving a person irrespective of him/her loving you, hating you, or even knowing you. Its a deep powerful real love. Dogs show great love to their masters but its not unconditional. I'm not a cat person, I am a dog guy, and I miss my late old faithful and loyal German Shepherd......
@Jack-rk7jc5 жыл бұрын
@@JTST1234 Then by your impractical logic, unconditional love doesn't exist. Unconditional love wouldn't even be love according to you, because love is shared between two people. If one of them does nothing to actually express their love, while the other loves them for it regardless, therefore being "unconditional" then that isn't even love. A dogs love is the closest thing we have to your imaginary standards of unconditional love. Anyways. Semantics, who cares. You can't paint the world black and white. Nobody is 100% anything.
@JTST12345 жыл бұрын
@@Jack-rk7jc Unconditional love doesn't exist in humans certainly not in animals. You can say that dogs really love their masters, atleast by GS would vouch for that, but dont say thats unconditional. Unconditional love is only by God to man, when God came down and became a human and took on himself the punishment of sins of mankind, so that man has a second free chance for a way to heaven.

We had something similar happen. My golden retriever, Jesse, disappeared from my back yard. We looked everywhere, put signs up. About two weeks later my husband was out looking again and asked some people who were in their front yard if they had seen a golden running around. They said no, but their neighbor recently got one. He looked over at the house, and there was Jesse, jumping inside the garage ( we think he started doing this when he heard my husband talking), he just could see the top of head through the window. My husband broke into their garage and got our dog and found his tracking collar on a table, it had been cut and smashed. The homeowner pulls up! He is very angry, says he's calling the police. My husband held up the collar, and said please, go ahead! I'm taking my dog home, here's my address. He never called the police... This was about 10 years ago, and to this day it still makes me furious!
