I had a beagle when I grew up with my sisters she was good with all the neighborhood kids and the kids from church and my cousins. So I think beagles deserve 5 star

Mr.rampage I agree with you sir. I am 13 yrs old and I have a beagle. She is obidient and fun and I can say beagles are good with kids. They just want to play , sure sometimes beagles (and of course any other breed of dogs) hurt kids ,but again it's because they want to play So . For those saying that Labrador is better . All I can say is a big NO NO. BEAGLES AND LABRADOR ARE JUST SAME .

@@juliehouse6587 don't think that. Did you know Labradors are one of the best family pets, but guess what. They were bred to be hunting (retriever s) dogs to, so really there is no difference. Except from their temperament, size, colour. Looks.

Both are my most favorite dogs in the whole world, but I chose Beagle because they are smaller. I don't have a big house.

I'm a bit biased towards beagles. Mine was the epitome of a child friendly dog. After meeting my 6 mo old godchild he rolled for her to pet his tummy. She was barely sitting but did it. Every child he came in contact put a smile on their faces....even the scared ones parents pushed them to get use to dogs. I trusted my dog 100%. Honestly like other replies, any dog can bite but it's the dog parent to train them. There's no winner here just a guide of how each dog is. I like them both but prefer a smaller dog and less medical bills. I say that because for 12 years I was pretty lucky not having fork over huge sums of money to the vet. I probably would have but based on info/history beagles have less issues. Adopt what you want because any breed will change your life forever and you'll wonder why you hadn't done it before.

THIS IS WRONG. BEAGLES ARE THE BEST . AS A MATTER OF FACT THEY HAVE A VERY STRONG SENSE OF SMELL AND BECAUSE OF THAT THEY ARE USED IN THE MIDDLE AGES AS A HUNTING DOG .
