If we alreaady defined the Poisson's ratio while creating our material, why do we need to specify it again while creating the section?

Dear Rohit, Please refer to the following documentation. dsk-016-1.fsid.cvut.cz:2080/v6.12/books/usi/default.htm?startat=pt03ch12s13s04.html This should clarify the difference. Related to how the material behaviour and the cross-sectional behaviour are computed.
