My house was built in 2005 and when we moved in (2007) we put in a huge flower rug in the garage. You can barely see it now, and my earliest memory of being outside of the garage when I was three, the rug was still somewhat vibrant. It was green and white with a pink flower (Either a rose or a tiger lilly) and now it’s a brown rug

Let me unfold the mystery around the extra path on 10:05. I bet that photo was taken in some post soviet city. You could see such path near any Л-type (Л is a Cyrillic letter) pole in small post soviet cities. This path appears there because it is believed that passing under the pole brings bad luck of some kind. The exact type of bad luck changes from place to place. In town where I grew up such path under the pole was called Demons Gate, and it was believed that if you pass under it you would bring trouble on yourself. It's a very old superstition and no one really knows where it came from.

I loved the D&D part of this video. If you’re a dice goblin like me, you always have a lot of different sets to play with depending on what class, race or alignment you’re playing as so this kind of thing doesn’t happen unless you’re able to actually limit your sets of dice you can use. I miss playing with my dice… I haven’t played any D&D in person since Covid happened but on the bright side, I’ve been able to refrain from buying more dice sets because of it. I’m sure my bank account appreciates that lol.

We had an African Grey Parrot for years in our living room. We placed clear mats and a large tray to contain all the seeds and stuff he dropped from his cage. Many years later, that parrot passed away after a lifetime of seizures. When we got rid of his cage, we could see a square outline where his cage was. To this day, I can turn to my right at my desk, where I'm sitting right now, and see the faint outline of his cage. RIP Bob, I miss you buddy.

Time in my eyes can make you more humble especially if your a kid and you can't wait to grow up and it takes ages in your eyes but as soon as you turn 18 20 years has passed in what feels like a blink of an eye and the wrinkles start to play hide and seek. Seeing these clips of time just makes me appreciate we only get one go around and we should wear out our life and make every moment count.

Regarding the "peripheral path" is because the angled bar crosses over the sidewalk too low on at least one side. We have one that prevents two people walking beside each other because the bar is 6' at the center, meaning anybody taller than 4' can't walk on the right side without having to duck. So unless you're holding hands with a child, somebody always has to go around.

am more shocked at the fact people don't move or let their furniture get some sunlight in the rooftops for years than them being degraded 😂👀

@thuyvannguyenthi1459 Ай бұрын
I have photodegradation happened to my room's window used for 10+ years. It has 4 wings, one opens regularly, one opens less often, and the remaining two wings always face inward. The 2 outer wings still remain the same brown color, the wing that is less open is light brown and the wing that is more open has turned light orange! Even crazier, each part of the frame also has the same color as the corresponding wing above, and the faded part spreads out more to one side, because the sun only shines directly on the window from noon onwards! The windows have been repainted early this year😅

We lived in a tiny old house when I was expecting our first child. My husband and father went through 6 layers of wallpaper (each had been painted over) before getting to the walls in the nursery. It was educational. At 11:00, speaking of blades, I have learned that carbon steel, when properly sharpened, will retain its edge after use if washed and dried before setting in its block - and putting it blade-side down dulls it too. Personal experience is also educational by virtue of success.

I live in California, and me and my family go to Fort Bragg as an annual trip. We mainly go spearfishing down at Caspar, but we usually go to glass beach. And not only is there glass, but the iron has sedimented into the ground making it part of the beach. Also, some of the junk has not degraded and stayed intact throughout the years, like spark plugs because they're made of ceramic and leather shoes. There's even a tractor lodged in the ground. It's not just the junk to, all the wildlife on the beach like have gotten used to humans.I got at least 3 feet close to a squirrel and they didn't even mind. And there was a raven that was just chilling, it sounded very unhealthy from it's caw though. But yeah, glass beach is pretty cool.

I like how the animator took the time to animate what we could basically already see from the photo, like the old lady moving the bed or the old trucker having half of his face aging. I'm not complaining though. A lot of times these kind of videos show something and then the voice annoyingly repeats what we could already tell on our own. In this case the commentary is well written and any redundancy is clearly planned to add clarity.

1:05 This happened at my grandparents house just a bit different. My grandparents moved in like 20ish years ago. When they moved in, they put a couch in they’re living room, and the carpet they had was soft and sort of squishy. Just few weeks ago they moved furniture out of their living room to get it repainted, and you could see and feel the different between where the couch was and where it wasn’t.
