The Ford Crown Victoria Interceptor is mainly used because it is easy to repair, along side with a 4.7 litre V8 and the fact it can reach 160MP/H. Although I am British, the American auto industry gives me inspiration to learn more about American cars. I know a lot, but I want to learn more. That Prelude RALLYE is sexy, by the way.... Classic cars are my favourite class of cars ;)

I don't know if the in-game model is accurate, but the police versions of Crown Victorias (and Caprice SS models) are somewhat significantly modified from the stock models. They're made to go faster, take more abuse, etc. etc. Assuming the in-game model is accurate, that's probably why the police vehicle felt more "dense" and didn't really break apart nearly as quickly as other cars. There's a reason you see a lot of Crown Vic taxis - police sell off their old equipment, and most of the time the cars are STILL very reliable and can take a beating despite the thousands of miles and wear and tear already put on them. Cheap and built like a tank - perfect for a taxi.

just a tip. on the Prelude its fwd so it doesn't have a driveshaft. it has cv axles :)

For the older cars like the Cadillac they didn't have sheet metal or fiberglass/carbon fiber back then... So they used SOLID STEEL. Yeah that's why there slow there very heavy...
