I’m a little confused, and I don’t mean to be mean or offensive, but what is the logic behind hiding it? At least to me, having a fear of vomit seems very normal even if I don’t have it. Again, I’m not trying to be mean or dismissive, I just don’t follow. If you’re able to explain and okay with it, I’d like to understand what made you so scared of others knowing.

@@Essendiinanis I appreciate the respect in your question! So, the short answer is that people are cruel. I also didn’t want anyone to think I was weird because I have a panic induced fight-or-flight response to something most people don’t have an issue with. In the past, people have bullied me about it or made fun of me. I’ve had people pretend to vomit around me just to see my reaction - they think it’s hilarious, and they get mad that I have the audacity to be angry about it. I found it was just better to keep it to myself until I knew I could trust someone. Now, all my loved ones know and they protect me from it however they can, whenever they have to. I’ve also been working on uncovering the root of it in therapy, which has helped diminish my fear. It’s not gone, but it’s improving. 😊
