This has changed. Any coach who only recruits "good" people are fired within 2 years. Its all about wins and losses, including Alabama.

I had an high school coach that would say kids had attitudes and you wouldn't want them and wouldn't give transcripts. He also used to throw letters in the trash. He would help kids in Special class (slow) never kids with academics. Those kids came back home. Everyone of them.
