There is another man that post bears with cubs that come to his porch to ear from the bird feeder while he sits on the porch. He is calm and speaks occasionally in a nice voice. The f one starts to come close to him he tells it no, nah, back the bear or cub turns around. He has mom he calls Ruby return every year. He even keeps a large tub of water out for them over by a small creek. He doesn’t always refill the bird feeder so the bears know that there is not always food there for them. It’s so cool how they don’t care one but that he is there.

What a neighborly bear. He polished off the seeds without even breaking the feeder 😄

Here in Arcadia California we have a couple who have a family of bears that come swimming in their pool every year all summer long....they love them and buy them pool toys. They also post the wild dear and cougars that come down...

I love how your "bird" sits down and even lay down to eat more comfortably 😉😂. And she (so beautiful and she didn't make any trouble, so it must be a girl) is well educated, she doesn't leave anything in her plate, no food waste !

Oh my! And I get upset when crows take over my bird feeder! The bear will be back. You have to take the bird feeder down for a while. It will learn that the food is gone. After a while, you can put it back up.

You don't need to feed birds in the summer, a bear getting to familiar with humans risks being killed or if he/she is lucky moved far away, so you're doing no one a favour.
