I'm more impressed by the endurance of these machines. We're used to all the big enemies go down with a few hits from our boy, these guys took a whole beating from super sonic and were still fighting back

This is what I'm saying supersonic is overkill sometimes literally in any Sonic game when Sonic uses the Chaos Emerald to defeat one of eggman's robots it's literally Overkill because he could easily do that in his base take the opening to sonic Unleashed for example when he uses supersonic to get rid of eggman's mech and Destroy his Fleet that wasn't necessary I honestly think it's the reason why we haven't seen him since Generations is that Sonic just hasn't needed the Chaos Emeralds hell even when he's fighting Gods he doesn't really need them I mean in Sonic Generations he fought chaos without any emeralds meaning he probably didn't even need them the first time it happened the only time I think Super Sonic was actually required was during doomsday Zone where in my head Canon the Death Egg robot was being powered by the Master Emerald Sonic 06 and Sonic Generations because in those two games Sonic was fighting higher beings that warped time space and all of reality in Sonic Unleashed considering the fact that he was fighting the literal embodiment of Darkness capable of destroying the entire planet any other time supersonic was just Overkill

yeah, especially that sage was using a titan and chip used the temples to create a golem, sage was controlling the titan supreme from inside him and chip doing the same in his golem, they both sacrificed theirselfs for the world, it's very similar.

@@senorarty6745 true but this alot more effort that usual. Mainly because the titans were built by being similar to chaos. Meaning that since they needed these to take in the end in the past it would that their power and durability is far above perfect chaos but probably weaker than reality altering supersonic bosses like solaris ( took 3 super forms to beat) and or time eater ( 2 super sonics). The end seems like it would the strongest enemy to date if we take sages description serious but plot reqiured it to not reach its true abilities. Would be cool to see full potential super sonic

@@jourdanfarquharson4697 Why do people always get that wrong about Solaris. Solaris didn't need 3 hedgehogs AT THE SAME TIME. One is ENOUGH. It's stated in the guides that Super Sonic is strong enough to defeat Solaris on his own he just needed help because Solaris was in the past,present,and future at once so it was required for the other 2 hedgehogs to be there. Like Eggman said defeating it one timeline wouldn't make a difference, Solaris needed to be defeated in all timelines to banish the flame for good. One super hedgehog is more than enough for Solaris. If Solaris wasn't stopped all at once he would destroyed and consumed the entire cosmology. Super Sonic couldn't be everywhere at once.

Yup, the bosses make full use of the combat oriented gameplay style of Frontiers. It is no longer jump on a platform and land on boss head to deal damage

@@speedymatt1236 Yeah did it earlier. That hard-mode only last boss is awful and had no place being in a Sonic game. Its a completely different type of game, and just isn't much fun. Thats fine for a mini-game, but as a last boss, that is overly drawn out, it was a terrible design choice. I can totally understand why they removed it from Easy & Normal mode. Honestly, if I had known it was a Hard mode only thing I'd have dropped the difficulty. Nevermind I did it in the end, but I didn't enjoy it at all. If I wanted to play a Bullet Hell Sc'hmup I'd have played a Bullet Hell Sc'hmup, not an Action Adventure High-Speed Platformer game.

@@bluerocket5127 Super Sonic's BS is my favorite part about Sonic games. There are a ton of games with skill trees. I get this is almost a unique idea for this series (only a small number of games like the "Secret Rings" and "Chronicles of Brotherhood" make this short list). But a few boss battles where you play a nerfed Super Sonic in a Mario Party like mini game isn't going to sway me here. If they add him in through a patch then I'll pick it up.

I wouldn't say it's better than BOTW, not because it's technically better or worse, but it's just that frontiers is a open zone collect-a-thon platformer, while BOTW is more of a traditional open world, it doesn't feel right to compare them when it comes to gameplay

No not, they don't need to return to the Adventure formula, What they need to do is keep using the open zone formula and improve it

My guy Sonic Adventures is over and done. It won't be coming back no matter how many Sonic games you dismiss. Take what you have now and let go of the past.
