That’s technically her story, she was raped when she was 19 by a producer then right after that she was dropped from the label. And the scene of the breakdown actually happened to her and she did bleach her hair in a bathtub. The video is basically her experience and artist journey

this video is completely autobiographical. it shows how it all started. her struggles. her sexual assault. her rise to stardom. the transition from brunette to blonde to teal hair symbolizes the creation of lady gaga herself. at the end she finally books an appointment with interscope records (her current label) and the rest is history. great reaction guys

FUNFACT: The rain in the MV is a real one. They were supposed to cancel the video shoot that day but Gaga did not cancel it and continued the scene with the rain. :D

3:18, she was talking about fashion and saying things like “I tipped their gauze to the side....” because she’s talking about how trauma will sometimes make you remember things in your own way and process it in a kind calculated way not in the actual context of how things actually happened or looked

She’s talking about dissociating due to trauma basically creating a fantasy rather than remembering the trauma. She’s in a facility that creates stars that are dissociative and mind controlled. She says she’s going to get through the program to be a star and she was born into it notice the nurse says she delivered her

I dont recall her ever saying that. I def agree with the dissociating from trauma part. But from the references to morphine, the women's clinic, the gurney, the bruises, the "no intimacy for two weeks", and the sanitary pads -- and what we now know of her sexual assault(s) at this time in her life --- I think it can be inferred that she is alluding she had a "termination" in the facility. What made her a star was her refusal to be broken by these events. I see the scene in the car was her committing to rise from the (cars on ) fire... to marry the night/her darkness.

She didn’t do ballet. But she she always wished she had. And the scene where she’s in her flat and gets a call from her director where she’s basically rejected is very accurate according to her recalling of it.❤️ then she goes bleach blonde and well...the rest is history😁

This song is actually my soul... This is the time when she got sexually assaulted when she was 19 years old... Her rapist left her pregnant on the corner, that's why at the beginning, she's on a clinic... She aborted the child... That's why the nurse said 'no intimacy for two weeks'... This song is all about her dark past... The trauma, and the mental issues she faced through the process of healing... It's her personal story... I have more stuff to say, so people can understand this masterpiece, but I'm sleepy at this moment... And why it became my soul music? It's because, like her, I'm also a sexual assault survivor... By my cousin, when I was in grade 4... Like her, I've got nothing left to lose... At this very young age, I experienced a lot of shits, and Gaga became my anchor... She pulled me out of that dark hole... She made me stronger...

That's why she said on the MV 'I'm gonna make it' 'I'm gonna be a star' despite of all those shits she went through at the beginning of her music career...

Alot of these clips are from her life. Trashed in the bathtub after being dumped by her label. Going up front jn her dance classes packin keyboard up and down this apartment building and then the birth of the "monster" that is lady gaga.

Correct. DefJam signed her. She wrote tons of songs. And three months later they pulled the record deal because they didn't get it. They thought she wasnt a good fit for them. She always bounces back though. She definitely has worked her ass off to get where she is today.
