I watched this scene and once the cello continued to play and integrate into the underscore I immediately wondered, 'How did Bear go about scoring this scene, it's fantastic!' Then I see your video up...thanks for sharing.

Hi does anyone know what the music is called when Lorelei and Ward have sex in Las Vegas? I'm in love with that music! Lorelei is one of the funnest villains Ever, great episode! No one seems to have information on this piece of musical bliss. I need to recruit Skye to my team so she can work her internet magic and find the name of that melody!

Interesting stuff, thank you. So did I get that right, you basically had to write a piece that would fit Amy Acker's hand movements in the cut episode? I would have thought that maybe it would have been the other way round, Ms Acker 'miming' to a playback of your music. Learn sth new every day... :)

Thanks Bear! The relevant paragraph: "I know what you’re thinking. This sounds like the ravings of a madman. The easier approach would have been to write the composition first and have Amy mimc the whole thing, or bring in a cello double to master it for close-up shots. If the scene had only been about the cello performance, that may have been our method. Because the scene intercut multiple times with a different scary scene, it would have been impossible to lock down those musical mood shifts in advance. The composition would ultimately be chopped up into bits by the time the scene was fully edited. Besides, having to memorize physical gestures for a lengthy difficult composition would have put undue pressure on Amy, who already had her hands full focusing on character work. Amy, the producers and I also agreed that it should be her hands in the close-ups. While this approach created more work for me in post-production, it yielded a more convincing on-camera performance."

I really like the way you think your music, the way you choose to use every instrument, every sound. Fascinating, thanks alot for your explanations, your advice, but also, thanks for your music, thank for making us listening so pleasant song ! So basically you have to GUESS what she's playing as opposed to having her read from a sheet which Eric would then be able to read from too?... How long did it take you to get it all right?????
