I love Avant quads/Avion RC!! I have a leggero 5” an avio 4” and an avio 3.5”. Nothing but good things to say about them. And Eddie is awesome, he’s always shopper friendly and helpful. My most recent purchase was the avio 3.5 and they were already out of stock berceuse of short supply of brother hobby motors, Eddie was so great, he built me one with tmotors just so I could get one. New models are supposed to be available soon so I’ll definitely be grabbing one or two of whatever it may be. Love your content Nick, keep up the good work.

So i got my quad today. First of all: the customer support was amazing. I asked for the avatar lite kit and blue tpu prints and some extra screws, without adding any coast. The packaging was surprisingly high quality. Most of the packages from little china stores are more thrown thogether, than packed, but this time every little spare was shrink wraped and protected.The quad arrived unharmed and fully functional. I have got one pack on it and it flew very smooth but u couldnt try my freestyle lines out beause it was already relatively dark... Long story short; i had a very good experience with avantquads and would absolutly recommend it to every semi micro lover.

@NickBurnsFPV
@NickBurnsFPV 10 ай бұрын
Its a bit of a stretch to compare as the crux35 doesn't have the option of the dji O3. The curx35 is more agile, but also more likely to break. The crux35 also has a single bottom plate so if it breaks we have a repair basically rebuilding the quad. Even if we run hdzero, which isn't an option for the EVO3.5) I would choose the EVO3.5 for its reliability.

LoL , Hi Nick, funny about the broken in props. I’m still running the same props that came with my Geprc cinelog 25 Nickie. She flys great the way she is. What if anything would change if I put the new ones on that came in the box. Inputs Nick? I am not a slider, I like to stop and hover over my landing pad and do hello style 360 and set them down with authority and respect for my equipment. Lord knows I crash enough without trying. Hahahaha. Thanks again, keep up the outstanding product you provide us, you are appreciated. GB, Sincerely, Other Pops

My thoughts on changing props. If the quad flies pretty well without much of an impact to prop wash handling I continue to run them. I would also change them out if they were getting bent and straighten enough to make me work the prop could break either a blade or the entire prop explode off.

Just a comment on the brand in this review - about a year ago this company also caught my eye... I thought that the designs had a nice touch with the TPU front camera cage/mount/guard. They styled it a little bit and from some angles it looks kind of cool. That said, looking at their site today - the site is a bit austere, they don't offer much to go on. Oddly enough I am often bothered by marketing so straight to the point is good. I guess I would suggest listing some facts such as why the "new" quads are interesting, what improvements have been made? Stronger, lighter, etc... New locking arm designs, etc. What other features have been added? (DJI 03 heat sinking aluminum mounts would be awesome...) Also on at least one of the pages when trying to get a good look at the quad the images did not zoom, were not HD, and the views meaning the little boxes that show the previews for what the image you wish to pick to see had the entire array of picture thumbnails overlaid on the picture almost in the middle blocking views to key features! Other websites have pictures where you can zoom in on pictures and see details just like you are there, crystal clear and zoomable to a large extent! OK the ones I saw today were Speedy Bee (Good quality of pics, zoom was acceptable) and GEPRC who seem to allow you to zoom in close enough to see individual atoms - A+, Awesome!!! That said if you like the company and say it is good stuff then that is good enough for me, for real, you have a great deal of credibility to me and I am sure to many others. I really would like to see these guys grow, this has to be a tough market, so many brands have disappeared, arguably one or 2 of them were true leaders going into 2023 but POOF they are gone. So I guess I picture you talking to them and after verifying what I said is valid that you would pass it along to them so they can keep on improving. I hope this helps! If you can help me - what is a great choice for do it all quad with DJI03? What is do it all for me? A whoop style quad that truly stands above all others, is stable in flight, is durable, quiet enough, one that I can fly indoors in areas where I am not worried about breaking anything, is truly stable in slow flight or hover (hovering in one spot seems so easy for the DJI drones, but hard as heck for us humans) And can do some good freestyle when it is without any extra cameras attached. OH, and under 250 is nice to have but not critical I guess. I have narrowed it down to GEPRC Cinelog 25 (but should it be the 30, but then might as well get the 3.5" right???) or the SpeedyBee Bee35 (Awesome looking frame!), the Axis Flying Blue Cat is interesting, I do know that the 35 size frames are NOT going to be under 250 so perhaps the winner that comes closest to all of the specs would be the Cinelog 25 if it flies "just as good" as say the best 3.5" Cinewoop, then I am done... I am not a fan of the 85mm frames adapting the 03 as they leave the camera and air unit very exposed! Is there anyone in that "85mm" or "20" size that is knocking it out of the park??? I do like the idea and if I knew I wasn't going to knock it around a bunch I could see getting one of those! There is one thing that solves all of this - money! Lots of money and I don't have it so I have to make a solid pick. And sorry for the wall of text - it wasn't bad until I added the "if you can help me" section... Thanks Nick, you have a great channel and I often look forward to your latest videos, they are always great! Cheers.

I can definitely pass along the critique of the website to avionrc. To your question, what quantifies the inside flight environment? When I think inside I think a house, even our house is large and anything beyond a pretty slow pace on a 2 inch prop can be challenging in the micro O3 category. To me unless carrying a gopro is needed quad propped at 2.5inch or larger wouldn't be viable.
@genjitsu7448
@genjitsu7448 9 ай бұрын
@@NickBurnsFPV Hey Nick, thanks for the reply. Inside in this case is an unfinished basement with nothing really to break down there. I was thinking the 2" or 85mm sizes are not going to be as steady or harder to fly steady than say even a 3.5". Also was thinking of practicing to do home showings, or building site reporting and inspections, etc... got to make money somehow! I guess to simplify my question - GEP 2.5 whoop vs a 3.5 whoop? and what do you think of that Speedy Bee 3.5 - I think it "looks" great, don't know anything about it really but if looks could kill. Oh, and also wish those Avant folks good luck - I really liked their camera cage designs, adds a nice modern look to their drones.
@NickBurnsFPV
@NickBurnsFPV 9 ай бұрын
@@genjitsu7448 If your going to carry a gopro bigger is going to be more stable and capable of the added weight. The 2.5inch will be cable of carrying a go pro as well and likely a bit easier to navigate doorways. 3.5 is pretty big for indoor with doorways and all, it would likely fly longer and if you needed to circle real estate on the outside then swoop in an tour. Its a hard choice. If I am choosing I would go 2.5inch. But the 2inch 2s with DJI O3 are pretty remarkable, I especially like the flylens85, but all the 2in 2s with O3 the camera is well exposed. I don't think I haven't seen the speedybee offering I will need to look that one up.

@NickBurnsFPV
@NickBurnsFPV 10 ай бұрын
Yes, The performance of the flower labeled battery is better and holds its voltage better over the course of the flight. The 720mah is fine, it needs to be HV charged to get the full capacity and voltage sags more at the start and falls off fast at the end. The 720 packs are better for super light and low power quads.
