These companies are raising the prices on fragrances way too much. I remember getting the 4.2 profumo for $125 straight from armani a couple years ago. I know everything is going up in price but inflation hasn't hit us THAT bad. Armani is tripping, $160 for the 2.5 and $198 for the 4.2

I Hate to say it because I HATE paying the price for it but $125-$160 is less than almost anything has gone up over last 3 years. The only reason I say that is because I own a business my prices have gone up 30% to adjust for inflation so I can take home the same amount NOT adjusted for inflation. While I know it’s apples to oranges from my company to L’Oréal (who handles Armani). The price increase is in line.

@jasonbenton7962 it's not in line with inflation, it's not even in line with how much most other fragrances went up. Profumo went from $110 to $160 for the 2.5, that's more like 50%. My signature fragrance I've been wearing for the last 15 years only went up $2-3 from its retail price a few years ago, so don't tell me it's inflation. If we want prices to go down we have to stop making excuses for these companies. They can sell it for less.

I agree with the grassy note in profumo. Although to my nose the grassy note for me works better in spring then when it's blistering hot out.

People in Macys have no idea what they are talking about and sell it to you for the same amount. At least he as a broad knowledge of fragrances to help us make a good choice. I had perfumo in Canada where the weather is pleasant even in summer ,now I have tge new perfum in India where its 41 degree today. I found old perfumo more just more dark though not long lasting, while the new perfume version is refined and long lasting atleast on me. Happy to have that

Armani says with the new banners Profumo is now Parfum, just a redesign name translation and cleanup of the lineup to for now have simplified EdT, EdP, Parfum and well for now Profondo as an additional flanker.

I been very good not buying new stuff I always regret. I been also giving some of the duds to my friend's son who is in high school. I have literally enuff for three lifetimes so I'm down to one and a half lifetimes. Now I buy carefully and impulse buying is softened. I have not got any designers except for Polo Red Parfum and I'm super happy about that, and without hearing anything past the first 35 seconds I'm buying this. I ran dry of my Bentley Silverlake so I need a aqua spot.

I love Profumo, especially the green opening. To me, it never smelled "grassy" like lawn or so but herbal and like a Forest after a Thunderstorm in Summer. I tested the Parfum 2 Weeks ago but it lacked the deep, special smell. It is good, but too acquatic, almost too fresh for the dark take on AdG. Profumo is the best for me and I hate to see it go

Checked Macy's and yep 4.2 bottle is $198. That a serious price hike compared to other ADG releases before. You could buy a nice bottle of a niche fragrance for that. I would never pay that much for any ADG 🤣🤣🤣

I have two 2021 bottles and I get four hours with five sprays! And the dry down is very grassy! The parfum is smoother and fresher and btw Armani is having sales! I got 25% off last wk?!

I finally got my hands on this at Macys. Had to ask the lady if they had it and it wasn’t on display so after that she got one out for a tester. Such a good scent. It gives me nostalgia of the mall in the 90s even though I wasn’t alive then haha

I think it is likely that the line is being simplfied (EDT, EDP and Parfum). With that being said, can we possibly be looking at an Elixir in a few years??😂

The profumo bottles with the magnet were VERY GOOD. They reformulated them and changed the bottle with the crappy plain plastic cap. Kind of a statement to say "yo we ruined your perfume and made it cost more". The new version is just a revised CHEAP QUALITY PROFUMO

bro, on my tester bottle of profumo it says frankincense, olibanum is frankincense, the notes are the same, just blended different and toned down. I think it's a weaker profumo.

As someone who absolutely hates redundancy I can honestly say that I will never buy the parfum, I have a 125 ml bottle and 100 ml bottle and with my collection of over 300 fragrances there's no way I'll ever go through 1 bottle of Profumo So there's no need to buy a bottle of the parfum

@@mkozlovskis97 batch code is 38x401u, but I've got one of the earlier versions from 2023. I believe now they've slightly changed packaging and returned magnetic caps. Regarding my bottle - performance is quite solid, not worse than last versions of Profumo. However, 2015 version is still my favorite

The Parfum is pleasant. However, it's not better than Profumo. And certainly not at niché level prices for the 4.2. I'll certainly wait for a clone house to replicate it. These designer houses are off their rockers.

There’s something in profumo that i dont like thats why i sold my 180mls bottle with approx 160mls left for 60£, that was in 2021. But this perfume. I really like it. Smell like profumo but more wearble for me. Maybe a less stronger than profumo.

The parfum actually lasts longer on my skin versus the profumo, and I have the profumo with the magnetic cap. Sometimes it will react differently to people.

Skin chemistry varies for every individual. In particular older men, 40+ "process' fragrance differently vs the way they did 20 year before. The opening (grassy green) 3:10 that is deemed harsh by the reviewer here is not as prevalent or impactful for most men over 40 and 50. 5 minutes after you spray, you're good to go and you will please most within your 'space' for hours to come.

I tried out the new Parfum and!... it was good. Fantastic opening but down to the base notes and it's underwhelming. I don't like it as much as EDP and it's half as interesting as Profondo. $198 for the 120ml made me 360 and moonwalk out of the store.

Been wearing all the versions of ADG since I was 20. The worst ever is Profundo. Sorry not sorry. That is the worst flanker ever. Hated it so much gave it away.

Im glad I got this at a discount before the hike definitely not worth those prices its ok nothing mind blowing. Literally smells like Profumo.. oh well 😂
