any spec computer to use it that 8k polling rate? my wl beast cant have 8k polling rate

For everyone using 8k. You should use at least 1600dpi otherwise you can just use 4k since you woudnt saturate the signal bandwith anyway. 3200dpi is even better.

The coloration looks really great, but I would´ve liked hot swap switches with it using mechanical switches, one of the reasons I choose the Max instead for the optical switches.

Got my black and white today, feels pretty solid and feels pretty nice in hand. But now I'm starting to worry about dust in the long run, especially seeing the PCB and sensor completely exposed like this, gonna be a hassle to clean

I haven't really had any problems with dust inside my mouse with the beast x, they don't really stick to the pcb or inside the mouse. But if ever the inside gets really dusty then blowing air inside of it should just blow most of the dust out. Opening the mouse is another option but I don't think you'll need to go that far.

@@Migss I see, but is it just me, or the 8k polling rate is bugging, when I change it to 8k, the mouse rate checker site only reports like 2.6k, where as 4K would show 3.8k

@@shinefake48 try using an actual application thats accurate to test it, browsers can be inaccurate, also close the applications at the background.

You should learn how to clean a bg noise for future videos. Also avoid long outros, those negatively affect watch%. Besides that nice review! ✨ *Sheesh*

I'm not really experienced with changing the skates of a mouse so this will be my first time so how can we change the skates?

just peel the skates off under the mouse, wipe some alcohol pads on the surface where you'll apply the new skates, let it dry, then apply and align the new skates carefully.

for me, the hump is like normal, its not low and not high, the hump is just perfect for me. and what pulsar specifically? I'd recommend you check out eloshapes.com to compare the shapes

Nice Video! How much of a difference does 3200 dpi make while doing the polling rate test on 8k hz?

I like your question! I tested it and found out that on 400dpi its really hard to get polling rates above 5khz IF you don't move your mouse fast, but 400dpi can still reach up to 7-8khz, on 800dpi its a little bit easier to get higher polling rates without moving the mouse that much, but it can also reach the same 7-8khz, on 1600dpi and higher they definitely feel the easiest to get high polling rates without moving the mouse much, but they can also go up to 7-8khz same as the other dpi stages. In conclusion all dpi stages can reach 7-8khz but with 1600dpi or above you can reach high polling rates without moving the mouse that fast or that much. I don't really notice any difference or any benefits going above 1600dpi :D

@Migss thanks for your in-depth response. I appreciate it a lot. I've been hearing people recommending 3200 dpi to have consistently high polling, but I guess 1600dpi will do the job. Always found 3200dpi too fast. I'm still on 1khz polling mouse, but hopefully, I will upgrade to the beast x soon.

they are not, the people hired to upkeep the firmware ghosted WLmouse so they have discontinued the original Beast X line. Source: reddit post i saw a few days ago (no havent found it again)

I heard they're putting the beastx mini hardware into the regular beastx but I'm assuming those are just the collab versions then. kinda weird to me if the Fabulous Beasts are they're main line of the regular size for the future. oh well, there's no colors out that I enjoy so ill hope they release the original gold one eventually(or an actual white colorway) thanks for the help brother.

I also don't think they will settle with the collaboration mouse as the only Beast X 8k so they probably will release normal beast x 8ks with their own designs, hopefully.

@@Migss More like a rumors, but original firmware company did fkd WLM up. We don't know the details of the contract, so there's a possibility they might come back, or we'll just get tons of collabs.

yoo ı wanna poınt out that u shouldnt turn on the raw ınput settıng on valorant ıf you want to use your 4k mouse at 4k raw ınput buffer drops your extra pollıng rate to a less cpu stressıng levels so ıt just decreases your hz

There might be cases thats true depending on the cpu, but you should turn it on for better performance and less stuttering, I've seen people struggling and not having a smooth experience with raw input turned off with 4khz

My hand size is 8cm x 18cm, the normal size is perfect for me, they have a max that's bigger so if you have a bigger grip and if you want higher hump it might be better. I'll have a review coming of it soon
