This past Super Bowl a guy placed a bet of 75k on the 49ers to win and his wife said they couldn’t afford to lose that money and asked him not to place the bet but he decided to anyway even after she told him that she would divorce him if they lost because she had told him that they couldn’t afford to place the bet! I felt so bad for him because he not only lost the money but his family and it was totally unnecessary to put that amount of money on a game anyway!! I found out about that story from someone who knew him and that he had a gambling addiction

It is kinda suspicious that the NFL still has things you can’t review when the UFL made everything reviewable and hasn’t had a major officiating controversy with last year included. The longer the UFL goes without officiating controversies, the worse it will look for the NFL. Refs are human and are prone to mistakes. The fact that they are not even trying to improve their system is baffling. The execution of the PI reviews is embarrassing when the UFL was able to implement reviews for all rules so effortlessly #addthesuperchallenge

Are they having a meeting with all of the referees and the players and the coaches and the owners? I mean, come on way too much has to happen for these games to be rigged. I think it’s hard just to rig one game. There’s a big difference between a game being rigged and a game that is Tried to be manipulated there simply way too many things that would have to happen for a game to be rigged and the biggest factor in any of these games are the players not the officials if I saw players dropping balls on purpose fumbling on purpose other things on purpose then I might I just might say to myself something is up, but why would these players do that? It would drastically affect their salaries because if they keep fumbling and dropping passes, they’re not gonna play anymore, it just doesn’t make sense
@moonswan7587
@moonswan7587 12 күн бұрын
@scottb.4472 it's not the players doing it, it is the refs doing the manipulating for the nfl high ups. They don't have to map out every second of every game for all 32 teams, they ONLY need to create a grey area where a few calls and a couple missed calls dictate the result. How many games are close going into the final 5 minutes. What they bank on people thinking tho is the opposite that it would be way to hard to rig "manipulate" a game and that you would have to have everyone involved in it.

If it’s a RB with the ball, the ground can’t cause a fumble. If it’s a receiver who’s had obvious control of the ball till they hit the ground, it’s a non catch. Same at the end zone. RB has the ball - crosses the line, immediate TD. WR catches the ball, then crosses the line, then hits the ground and ball pops out, NO TD. It’s nonsensical. They lost me years ago.

This is a ridiculous statement. Referees work extremely hard to get to that point in their career, just like the players. There are years of training, hard work and dedication to be a professional referee. Some of them own their own businesses in addition to being a professional referee. Do they make mistakes or blow calls? Yes, they do. they are human. The speed at that level is unbelievably fast that it takes years to be able to work a game at that level. NBA Referees, it takes 20 years of hard work just to even get 1 playoff game. I really disagree with your statement. So if you don't like it, go be a referee yourself.

How about December 30th, 2023 Detroit scores a 2 point conversion to essentially beat Dallas but the ref claims that Taylor Decker, who STOOD IN FRONT OF THE REFS FACE AND SWIPED HIS JERSEY didn’t report as eligible?
@Fender178
@Fender178 14 күн бұрын
Well in the Refs' defense here the Lions made a huge mistake going for the 2pt conversion again after they were exposed. The refs didn't tell them to do that. That was on the coaching. They should have kicked the extra point after they were penalized not go for the 2pt conversion again.
@Jay_Cannon
@Jay_Cannon 13 күн бұрын
@@Fender178 no it was on the refs, they come in before the game and talk to the coach to ask them about any type of trick plays they’re going to run etc. Dan Campbell specifically told them about this play. Told them that Skipper was reporting all game and if they needed to use this specific play that Decker would be utilized as the eligible receiver. They were aware this play was going to used in a situation like this. He then told the sideline official they were running the play that was talked about before the game. All things the national media didn’t discuss. Anyway you know they’re going to announce it, but you send multiple players over by the ref when he is reporting to try to throw the opponent off. They had Skipper report all game intentionally because if this play was needed, they were throwing a curve ball and having Decker report. Again that’s why they sent them all over, it was to confuse the Cowboys knowing they explained this to the ref before the game. The only thing the Lions did wrong was trust that the officials were competent. The NFL is full of sh*t and they just don’t want to look bad. Everyone and their mother that watches that video sees the ref looking directly at Decker as he reports by swiping his jersey, which is all he has to do. Here’s what happened, the ref reported the wrong number. It’s not that the wrong person reported, had nothing to do with having 3 people over by him when Decker was reporting, he saw Decker, knew it was Decker, but his simple mind reported the wrong number. Yes the Lions should’ve kicked the extra point afterwards, but that is besides the point, there shouldn’t have been an afterwards. That’s the major flaw with saying the lions should’ve kicked after, there shouldn’t have been an after. What happened after is moot, they botched this call. Also the kicker for Detroit was Bagley and he wasn’t super reliable. Campbell trusted his offense more than the kicker. That would’ve turned into a 38 yard kick and that’s no gimme for Bagley. Of course he can connect but he wasn’t in the 90% range for 30+. Nonetheless the afterwards should’ve been a kickoff and a Dallas choke. But instead the Lions got screwed again. Oh and the Lions are the most unjustly officiated against team in the NFL. That’s a fact.
@Fender178

@Jay_Cannon
@Jay_Cannon 13 күн бұрын
@@Fender178 last thing I’ll say is correct but we’re now we have a perpetual argument because you say that and I say it shouldn’t matter what happened after because after that play is irrelevant because if they don’t blow that call the Lions win (or at least are in the lead with under a minute to go) so your scenario never plays out. Your point is secondary to my point, yes they should’ve kicked but it’s besides the point. Plus kicking would’ve tied it anyway, not won it. The Lions had the game won, it was over. Dallas was cooked, they’d lost all momentum. But let’s play devils advocate, even if Dallas did win at that point it would’ve been on the Lions defense and then that’s a totally different story. So to finalize; did that call, the one that all of America saw when Taylor Decker declared eligible and apparently the only person in America that didn’t see this transpire was the simpleton official standing 3 feet in front of him and literally looking straight at him in the video, cost the Lions that win? Yes. Whatever happens after if called correctly is totally irrelevant, Lions win.

The scrutiny applied to all involved is 100x more focused now, making it impossible to hide. People who whine about it being rigged are just trying to feel special

It's actually very simple. NFL referees are employees of the league. They do as they are told. NFL owners are sitting on top of a product that generates 10 plus billion dollars annually. Ask yourself, if you ran a business worth that much money, would you leave the results up to random chance? It's called entertainment. Are you entertained?

A big reason I quit following the NFL several years ago was because I became convinced that it's rigged. Even though I saw signs of it, I remained in denial for a long time. The really bad call or no call by the officials is only the easiest way to rig a game. A closer examination of plays shows the players are in on the fix, too. One obvious example of that was the final play of the Saints-Vikings playoff game a few years ago. With 10 seconds left, the Vikings threw a short pass that would push them just a little bit closer for a winning field goal attempt. Instead, the Saints defensive back tanked the tackle and the receiver went the distance for the touchdown as time expired. That was SO obvious that it was the last straw for me. I haven't followed the NFL since. And when you think about, the rigging makes sense because professional football is a multibillion dollar industry. Not only the gambling dollars, but advertising, TV rights, and the "story lines" that effect TV ratings on particular games are all at stake. No way those multibillionaire owners and their overpaid shill of a commissioner are going to leave those game outcomes and playoff matchups to on-the-level, impartially officiated contests on the field.

Of course not. Nobody leaves profits to chance, like Brian Tuohy says. Also, I figured out the NFL is putting doctored kicking balls in the game, so whenever they what a team to miss, they put the ball that hooks in the game. They did that to Buffalo this year so Kansas City and Mahomes would advance...

@@ClassicJukeboxBand I've seen videos that suggest that tiny radio devices, disguised under some of the more "artistic" brand markings are implanted in the footballs used by the NFL and the basketballs used by the NBA. This past year, it was reported that the NFL is directly attempting, like in WWE, to rig the games. They went through great pains to try to get Lamar Jackson to the super bowl, hand picking ALL the refs and prepping the audience with commentary about how 'good' it will be after Lamar makes the super bowl. Non calls have just as much impact as calls. I remember the Rams 2001 Super Bowl where, for some reason, the NFL wanted the Patriots to win that game. The Patriots were allowed to MUG the Rams WR's and Marshall Faulk said they all knew the fix was in and STILL states that the NFL did not want them winning that game. I recall the Steelers over the Seahawks game, too. So rigged.

From 2016-18 the NFL appeared to be manipulating games through refs so that teams losing could get back in the games & bring the game down to the final possession. It seemed to have more to do with getting viewers to keep watching rather than helping any one team. Plenty of games looked hopeless & suddenly penalties extended drives the last possession of the game could determine the winner.

They haven't changed that rule or said that the call was wrong. I was at that game, sitting in the opposite endzone, and called it. My brother and I offered a $1000 bet to the fellow Packer fans behind us that it would be ruled incomplete. They didn't take us up on it, nor would we have tried to collect. Having a dedicated "command booth" to review everything, having communication between the crew, AND having that allowed to be played for the broadcast to show a level of transparency are amazing things to have. If there is anyone who doesn't know I will put it out there...... once. In the mid 1990's the NFL had a problem. The NFC had won 9 straight SB's and the team that lost the NFC camp game was commonly considered the 2nd best team every year .The AFC had only a couple "big market" teams. There were some teams that should have been big market ( NYJ, Raiders, Hou, Balt) but NYJ sharing with the NYG, Raiders out in LA, Oilers And Colts moved ect ect. The NFC had teams in NYC Philly Wash, Chi, Det, Dall, San Fran ECT ECT. The revenue was becoming tilted. The media coverage was great for the NFC, they had Madden, Fox broadcasts, ect ect. The issue was made larger by the lack of options to fix it. Putting a team in Balt /Hou was done immediately but that only helped down the road. There was no where for the them to grow. Short of realignment. So the NFL came up with a plan. They had to make NE good. Huge market but the franchise was hot garbage. Dumbest uniform in sports history one notable season in it's entire history (7-9 I think) and an embarrassment in SB. They needed performance in that market. Odd how great coaches all seemed to want to go there suddenly. Thee NFL basically allowed cheating scandlal after scandal. The league got started trying to get the Rams away from KC to strengthen their base. They needed big time popular players and big time historic wins. Hello Broncos aging QB who couldn't win a SB at 28 could now at 40 ish? NE getting to there with tuck rule and other issues. Coaches and veteran QBs wanting to go to the Jets? A very new Balt team winning it all? Jax a 10 win expnsion team?. The NFL trying to marginalize the incredible world wide Cowboys fan base The league working on getting KC to Dall. or SA. Ever wonder how Mahomes has has 53 int passes called back on pen flags while the next guy josh Allen HS second most with 7 ? There is 10,000 other things but you get the point. The rule changes about what a catch is, the strange calls, ectect. The only hope for football in America is for the Raiders Dallas, Det, Chi, Min, Buff, NYJ Cinn, Cleveland, and a few others who suffer the same fate is to form a new league that plays football instead of a WWE style sports entertainment scripted performance.

Claiming @14:18 that the Saints "had been robbed of a Super Bowl appearance" is pretty rich in light of the Super Bowl appearance that team DID enjoy (and converted into a championship trophy) in 2010 thanks to an NFC Championship Game against Minnesota in which the Vikings were brutally sandbagged by the officials. Most notably, though New Orleans delivered countless late and otherwise illegal hits (incentivized, the world later learned, by cash bounties put up by members of the Saints coaching staff) on Vikings QB Brett Favre, the officials only threw a single personal-foul flag. One crucial third-quarter Favre interception should have been invalidated by a savage roughing-the-passer foul, but the zebras ignored it. The game-swinging INT in the fourth quarter resulted from Favre deciding, during a fourth-quarter scramble, to throw the ball back across the field rather than run it on a brutalized ankle that the Saints had been illegally pummeling throughout the game. In overtime, New Orleans bungled a fourth-and-short conversion when their ballcarrier fumbled the ball before reaching the line of gain-but both the field officials and the replay room blew the call. Finally, there was even a phantom pass interference called on a Vikings linebacker, paving the way for the Saints to kick a field goal and win. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ebiUaM2cr5fIdaM.html New Orleans deserved the Robey-Coleman pass interference non-call, seeing as how their lone Super Bowl title is fraudulent, based as it is on a conference championship game that was handed to them by corrupt officiating.

Gambling and the NFL obviously pushing “story lines” has just ruined the NFL. It’s also that the rules have been by design made to be so complicated they can call it any way they want. And no Dez didn’t catch the ball.

Lol needing a 30 minute video explaining a multi million dollar sports game is rigged is like needing an hour long video explaining a multi trillion dollar government is rigged.

Nearly everyone, especially the most passionate fans, forget that the NFL is for entertainment purposes ONLY. There’s no law that it must be fair or make sense or requires 100% accuracy. The worst calls, the ones that are most influential to the outcome of the game, are not the ones that are the highest profile. Rather, the most impactful calls are those made early in the game that wipe out a first down here or gives a first down there. And then the game goes on and those calls are forgotten. But they add up and they subtly change the likelihood of which team will win. I reiterate, it’s entertainment, and the “bad” calls are part of the emotional experience.

I’m not defending the complete ineptitude of the officials. I despise them in fact, and the blatant nonsense has pushed me away from the game, despite my own passion for my team. I’m through with giving my personal energy and emotions to an enormous entity that doesn’t give a damn about me. And it pisses me off that I can’t stop watching.

You failed to mention that after the Saints/rams no call, they changed the rule to allow the review of pass interference, but the referees refused to overturn anything. The challenge was success on 13/81 times that season, or 16% of the time. The league deemed it a failure, and scrapped it the following year. If you go back watch so of those calls/no calls, it’s pretty obvious they were ruling based on their egos.

I understand people get angry when these things happen, but it's not worth ruining someone's life for it. It's juvenile to do that.
