what i've learned from this is that beasty is really good at thinking ahead. Most people i reckon are in the moment but the better players are in future moments i guess

I thought this too. Analyzing a game I can tell what went wrong, but mid game I’m too focused on the smaller inconsequential things

What an amazing game Beasty! I was watching it live and had multiple orgasms when the demo vs demo explosions happened. when he came to the same wood island I thought you are gonna make barracks and start making palace guards and kill his vills

I agree that the mappool was to heavy on water. I like the idea with the categories, but if you look closely, 3 of the 2 have water: Water and Hybrid of course, but Chaos also included only water and hybrid maps. Seems they forgot Mountain Clearing exists, as a replacemen for Socotra (the AoE2 original doesn't have water btw, its all enclosed in rocks)

He killed his own workers because he wanted to create population space/didn't feel they were needed anymore.

I'm a MOBA and Paradox player. I love to watch your matches even tho I cant play this game nearly avarege. 60 hours of game and I suck massively.

I came from Dota2 and I have only played AoE4 for the last month. I just keep playing skirmish with AI until I was able to beat the Hardest AI, I decided to play Rank games. You'd suck at first but you'll develop if you keep on playing. Atleast AoE4 community is less toxic than Dota2.

@@Gteesma I mean, my macro is dogshit. I cant even memorise all those buttons and locations. I have to do everything with mouse. 60 hours trying and I cant. I think there are games that i will never be decent, but I love to watch and its okay I guess

@@JoaoVitor-is4zb I agree lol the attention you need for this is super huge compare to mobas. What I do though is just playing the same civs and strat to get myself familiar with the fundamentals. Aside from English, which everyone plays first because of the campaign tutorials, I just Focus on playing French and Japanese in multiplayer and ai skirmishes. For now I play the same strat for each civs, an early aggression french and a fast castle japaenese. Also, you should check out beastyqt's macro and micro guides, they're pretty helpful.

The draft system was a joke. Also, how is those wood lines considered to be fair in a multiplayer game at the top level? I dont blame the devs, I blame the tournament hosts for choosing it as playable
