BeatCutter is an experimental multi-channel app for slicing and recombining sound based on rhythm. In the center of the app is a matrix of sample cells with smoothly reconfigurable recording, playback and control busses. This app is best for those who would like to experiment with long sound files or live instruments, creating chaotic constructions and patterns from sliced rhythm-driven samples.

Man, my first random try with very random mismatched samples turned out way better than I’d have ever guessed. No idea what’s happening but pretty sweet so far!!! Nice work!

Igor Igor Igor! Your immense creativity has paved the way for me (after 30 years,) to unleash the musical madness that’s been locked away all this time with thee most wonderful tools I’ve ever come across! Started with SynthScaper a couple years ago, then started making sounds in FieldScaper and putting those into SynthScaper and now wrapping those sounds with Classic FX. I’m now thinking of how to incorporate Beatcutter into the chaos…which reminds me of Skinny Puppy, the early years. Keep on keeping on, man! Please don’t stop!

Be great if you could leave the subtitles up long enough to read bro!? A normal convention has it you levave them up for as long as it takes to read and half as long again…. Great apps hard enough to get head around anyway….

Just got it on sale and really appreciate all the hard work put into developing such a great unique app . For some reason AUM does not recognize it as an AU though in iOS 14 on my iPad . Am I missing something simple? Yes I am ! I just looked for it as an AU effect instead of an instrument and found it . So much fun
