Is it possible to beat every required boss in Dark Souls 3 while playing as Gundyr?
Hello! In this video I recount my experience as I try to beat the game while playing as a boss enemy.
The rules of this challenge are:
1. I must fight and defeat every required boss in the game while playing as the enemy I’ve chosen. I must also be the one to land the final hit on each boss. This is to discourage overly relying on my teammates which brings me to rule #2.
2. I am allowed to use phantoms, but only those who can normally be summoned to help out with that fight and only when absolutely necessary.
3. Finally the game must be played on max new game difficulty: NG+7. On this difficulty, every enemy’s health, damage, and even their individual stamina values all increase.

Then I could actually play the game. I tried dark souls 3 but I couldn't get past Gundyr he killed me 100 times in a row. I even farmed to level 10 but I still can't kill him, he still 3 shots me. Please someone help Gundyr get one with his mission .

@@AmazingChest You could maybe try a Cathedral Knight or Lothric Knight? They have very expansive movesets and can use weapon arts like stance, charge and stomp and can even cast weapon buffing miracles with the stronger variants. I think any "Knight" enemy would work well with this type of series. Great work again, hope to see the channel grow some more!

super cool, underrated content. I am absolutely in love with the idea of controlling enemies in Souls games for challenge runs. I wish there was a fully fleshed out mod specifically for it, perhaps with character upgrades as you get to certain areas or level up enough. Kind of like the pokemon souls mod.

Thanks for watching. I'm also in love with the idea and I'm only really able to make it work through the magic of editing and by taking control of them via the debug menu. I think the biggest blocker for doing an enemy-only playthrough is the fact that enemies don't load the area around you. You have to program their collision to specific maps and it can be quite the hassle. Which enemy playthrough would you like to see next?

The closest you can get as playing an actual boss is by a mod that was recently created named "Elite Knights Original Weapons" (Look for it here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bt-YaKmlxLuZonk.html ). It gives the original boss movesets of certain weapons (Champion Gundyr's moveset with its halberd, Soul of Cinder moveset with the Firelink Greatsword, etc)

And the real one use purple magic (clones use blue) . Another tip : destroying the crystals will destroy spawning points of clones. Less crytals = less clones

Gundyr without his combos is like bread. That's it, just bread. No butter, condiments, protein, nothing. Just bread. I imagine if you could swing, hook, shoulder, and boot fuck in quick succession though, this may have been rather easy though. Maybe save for Aldritch because arrows, and Ringed city bosses.

Yep! You're absolutely right. I plan on remastering this run soon now that I have access to Gundyr's combos. Check out my Dragonslayer Armor run, it's much better than this one.

I learned that if you break those crystals that show up less clones pop up, if you pop them all I usually get nome or very few clones, plus the original has purple magic

you should try a fire keeper run (fire keeper robes are the only armor and you can only use the combustion pyromancy no shelds since you can't two hand flame hand but you can use dark hand as a shield since it's considered a ist but that's it) have fun

Someone please explain something to me please. I had to pause the video cause this makes no sense and it's bugging me. How come if the pontif has almost 11k hp when he gets hit with an attack tha does 1.1k damage he doesn't lose like 1/10th of his health bar? I mean, the damage dealt appears as a number when he gets hit.

This is a run where it's more interesting then funny. I like this video because it's all nicely put together and it shows the evolution from your first phase to your second phase. The first phase was the revenge of the beginners and the person who became a moster. The second stage is where you start to get more advanced and you actually start challenging yourself and you start to push yourself and you start to become better.

@@AmazingChest you know that if you take this away it would be like deleteing an antique treasure. Even though you might not see it as a treasure your other fans do and I want other people like me see your history and see how you stared of as. It's your life of your channel and the past is the past. If you accept that this was appear of your past and that this is somthing that helped you become the person who you are today you might become better on who you are because if you just accept your past it will release some of your stress in the future. I love your videos and if you deleted this one then I wouldn't have had been able to see how good you were in the past and how your channel grew.

@@AmazingChest no problem. But I actually enjoy watching the older ones then the newer ones. What you thought was rmmbarasing is what I thought of as a spark (Realization of what he is about to say)... Every video is like an unlit fire. The creator has the power to add that spark but I think that you don't really add that spark anymore because your not doing it for your own curiosity. Or it might just be all of the stress of uploading all of the hard to do dark souls videos but if you take the time and do what you want to do you can relit that spark. Because your voice in the previous videos has that spark of enjoyment in the voice. It is slight but it just makes listening to it more easier. I mean your focusing on other peoples perspective in how your new video is going to be you most likely just stopped caring if its to your own liking or not. Or it's just that your tired and stressed so you won't do that. But either way. You should really relax a bit and try to make videos to your own enjoyment. Or I am just reading all of the symbols wrong and it could be that I'm tired. But who knows. Not me.

How can you unlock this feature of playing as the boss? I always wanted to play with the lord of cinder, I think was called like this, the final boss of the main quest. I remember using a mod which allows you to load the debug menu and control an enemy, but I don't know how to select a specific boss and play the game with it.

Hey thanks for watching! It's just a downside of taking control of the enemies. I'm using the game's debug menu to do it, so unfortunately only a few moves are available. Some enemies have more usable moves than others.

Hey there. I love watching these runs I'm on consoles so sadly i can't do them. But during the Sage fight you can run through the crystals that he makes. (If you don't you play wack a mole) but if you run through them it won't summon the copys. 1 copy for 3 crystals. Mabey this will help good luck!!

I didn’t know you could summon two npc’s at once for Sulyvan, that makes me feel even more satisfied for beating him solo. He’s quick man and does so much damage. At 1300 hp his moonlight swing ranged attack takes almost all of your health. Probably the hardest part about this challenge is you can’t heal or lock on and the mobility is jank. Idk if it would’ve been possible to beat him without summoning, nice job man. Crystal sage is also a nightmare if you don’t nuke her very quickly. Try to fight her with only ranged attacks it is a nightmare

Not when I made this video months ago. I've put about 500+ hrs into the game since it came out about 5 years ago, but it's spread out over the years. As a result, I was kind of rusty when I tried doing this run.
