A desperate rescue effort intertwines the fates of two lives. Just as two teenage girls are beginning their journey into adulthood, the grim reaper threatens to cut their lives short. Two families cross paths at this critical juncture, where the harsh realities of life and the urgency of time become heavy burdens they carry. One is a father, Dong Yan, who goes to great lengths to save his daughter Ding Yan, while the other is a mother, Jiang Xiaoyu, who sells off her family's property for the sake of her daughter. They are willing to sacrifice everything to ensure the survival of their beloved daughters. Faced with a matter of life and death, will they withstand the test of their own humanity? As they race against time for a glimmer of hope, what abyss will fate lead them into?

Man this film had me crying 6 ways from Sunday! I wouldn't mind but I'm 57 so I've been here a while and seen a lot of bad things done in the name of humanity but this was heart wrenching. There's nothing a real parent won't do to help, save or protect their child and it's also a decision no parent wants to make.
