I got the lore! This challenge was before the "no jump" challenge. He was not able to jump because his legs were too broken because of all the falldmg.

just a tip for any rng challenges, if catnap appears in the hatch vent above, dont fully close it and it basically acts a cheese since there can only be 1 real catnap, and if you stall him while almost fully closing the hatch, you can wait out the timer until the green overcharge appears, just make sure you keep on top of the new batteries

Did a run withou purple hand myself and discovered that to hit checkpoint after the dogday chase you just need to shake your camera at the end of the jump. Also if you're planning to do further challenges on 1st or 2nd update patches - you should know that you can still fly on physics objects if you put your fps to 30 or 15. Lower the fps, the less objects are affected by gravity.

Fun fact, in the any percent speedrun of this chapter, they do what astral spiff calls "edging the cat". If you don't fully close the trap door, catnap tries to reopen it, and if you repeat this process only the fakes will be running around.
