I think the final battle is hard because Cell has three levels of transformation giving him like 130% attack power, plus Gohan is 1/3 down in health. On top of that I think the AI is jacked for this one mission in particular. It's harder than the rest of the missions in very hard difficulty.

Bro cell was a god damn menace in budokai!!! I raged ssoooo hard at this final boss in particular as a kid. I destroyed my controller trying to beat this bastard. I cried because I could not beat this boss. I think I turned super saiyan just trying to beat cell. It was so satisfying to finaaaalllly beat cell. I'm surprised how hard this is even now!

The issue with cell voice sounding imperfect in his perfect form is, the devs only coded one voice folder for the character because he only has 1 voice in Japanese. So when you pick cell you start as imperfect and transform your way up with just one voice folder on the character. I think this issue also comes up in the tenkaichi games when he gets hit

Getting killed by Cell's throw has to be one of the most insulting L's handed out by a Dragonball game

The reason cell has imperfect cell lines is because the dubb uses multiple voices. In japanese, it's one voice for every version of cell. So some voices in japanese didn't need redubbing and reused in later versions of cells. So imperfect cells' voices get used for later versions.

You really need to play against Kid Buu in Budokai 2's Story mode. That is truly the hardest DBZ boss.

This was a tough fight. but beating cell in DBZ Sagas, when you HAD to be in SSJ2 to do any damage and the transformation only lasted for like 30 seconds before dropping you down and having to build up ki again to transform... there's a section of my childhood completely erased because of the trauma that game brought. 🙃

I think Gohan has gone in with the INTENT to kill a few times, but it never really panned out? Lol. Like, pretty sure he would have gone and killed Spopovich if he had the opportunity (either during the tournament when he was beating Videl down, and Goku stopped Gohan from raging out, or later when they pulled up on Babidi's ship) but then he was killed by someone else. Dabura too, he went in with the intent to kill (presumably, since Vegeta and Goku both killed THEIR opponents, and Dabura HAD to die to save Piccolo and the others who were turned to stone) but the fight didn't finish and then Dabura got killed by Buu. And then there was Buu/Suoer Buu, and he definitely planned on killing them......they just beat his ass/outplayed him. 😅 So he's got the spirit, if nothing else? Oh, maybe he killed some Freeza flunkies during Resurrection F?

I always feel weird seeing people have issues with this fight. I very vividly remember absolutely bodying Cell as Gohan in Budokai. I remember having a rough time with the final Frieza fight on Namek though.

Lotus. How do you feel with budokai 2 being your personally crafted "What if" scenario? The story allows you to customize which characters are present during an arc and everyone says different things. On top of that I remember Budokai2 having a cheat to give yourself all the skills and characters so you wouldn't have to get the characters the typical way. I'm only proposing this since we will be seeing this story a lot. Either way I'll enjoy your content no matter how you choose to do it 😁
