She she did it the complete opposite to Dorothy Loudon which is great and did a great job to boot a performer that could have taught so many more for many years taken too soon

In think this interpretation says "gratitude, fortune", Loudon´s says "terrified of loosing".

Bea Arthur's interpretation is purely as the song was meant to be delivered. She would know because she wrote the song.

Technically it was written by Billy Goldenberg and the Bergmans (composer and lyricists for the OBC), but she gives a wonderful performance. I personally prefer Loudon, and I think she has the raw emotions needed to deliver the real desperation of the song's original intent, but Bea's is beautiful and poignant in a way that is impossible to duplicate as well.
