2 жыл бұрынOne week after claiming her maiden title in Nottingham, the unseeded Beatriz Haddad Maia extended her winning streak to 10 by taking her second at the Rothesay Classic.
Haddad Maia now joins Ons Jabeur and Iga Swiatek as players to win multiple Hologic WTA Tour titles this year. She's the first Brazilian to win in Birmingham's 40-year history; Gisele Miro had the best previous result by a player from Brazil in Birmingham, reaching the second round in 1989.

Bia's serve combined with the fast slippery grass surface is sooo BRUTAL!! A true nightmare for her opponents come Wimbledon.

Haddad Maia has shown a really high level on grass court so far. Powerful serves, efficient moving and killing strokes. She has done a great grass court season and deserves a lot of attention about her performance looking at Wimbledon.

Fiquei triste pela desistência da Zhang porém muito feliz por mais um título da Bia 🇧🇷👏🏻 Essas diversas desistências e lesões que vem acontecendo ultimamente abre o alerta do uso excessivo do corpo pelos atletas... acho esses torneios muito intensos e juntos... sou leiga mas sinto que o corpo de um atleta precisa de tempo para descanso

A Bia está jogando nível top 10!!! Ela sempre foi uma excelente tenista e acredito que amadureceu bastante, psicológico e mentalmente, depois das lesões e do dopping. Um grande jogador não é só talento, técnica e força física, mas também manter a calma e ter uma boa estrutura mental e psicológica para jogar bem, juntando tudo isso aí tudo está em equilíbrio. E a Bia está demonstrando tudo isso, ela está sensacional! Torcendo muito para um 🏆 em Wimbledon.

Dang, Ons won by injury default, too: both WTA tours this week champions won due to the other player suffering injury. They were likely going to win anyway, but we don't really know. Regardless, congrats Beatriz and Ons.

Dunno why, but she kinda gives me Iga Swiatek vibes when I see Haddad Maia play... like she does similar shots or something... And I mean that in a good way... P.S. Hope Zhang recovers... feel really sorry for her... Hope Haddad Maia plays at Wimbledon. Between Her, Swiatek, and (of course) Raducanu (injury permitting...), can't wait to see who will do well... Hopefully all 3 of them...
