I have a 1950 Chevy coupe and a 1950 fleetline. That 49 is beautiful

One just like this was my first car. I bought it in 1951 when i was 16 years old. I paid $750 for it, but it needed some body work since it had been abused by the former owner. I traded it for a new 52 Chevy Bel Air hardtop about a year later. Wish i had kept both of them.

The engine is a 216. Not hydraulic lifters. It needs a valve adjustment. The following year they were available with Powerglide. Powerglides came with a 235 hydraulic lifters BUT they still had splash oiling with Babett bearings. Too bad he lowered it. I do like the split manifold and duals.
