Friend told me to listen to this, i dont regret it.

When i was a child I wanted better stuff, I wanted a better toy, I wanted a better coat, I wanted a better room. All I really cared for was perfection. I was about 15 my family moved from Yokohama to Fukuoka. That’s where I would settle to go to a new school. I expected to be a pretty well known person there. I had goals to be like a really popular student there. I was kind of shy the first week or so. Though I knew my ultimate goals wouldn’t be easy. I was still up to being the perfect student. But then.. the first few weeks didn’t go as I planed. I wasn’t getting any attention. There was also a group of girls who thought they were perfect.. like how I thought of my self. They were pretty popular while I wasn’t. I was getting a bit jealous. From time to time they would be so proud of themselves for such a little thing. I was not getting anything I wanted from my goals. There was a time where I got into an argument with those group of girls. They were acting all like they’re perfect and I’m just nothing. “Look at yourself, you get no attention, no boys. No nothing , your a loser” and I said “Well I mean you might get some popularity but I’m going to be better then you and your useless friends” we had a argument until one of them said “Let’s be honest. No one cares for you here.. your just a nobody.. well sucks to be you but you can go off and cry. You just can’t accept the fact your useless” and then i.... I... I knew what she said there was kind of true... my face turned red.. “Well why do you have to do this?!” And she and her friends looked at my like I was a disgrace and then they started to tease me about being worthless.. there I ran crying. When I came back home I wanted to just hit something. I screamed in anger and sadness in my room. My mom came to me and asked me what’s wrong? I told her about what happened. She told me “There’s some people out there that say mean stuff and try to ruin your day.. but stay positive.. don’t matter about what they always have.. *Appreciate* what you have right now.. ignore them. Being yourself will get you some attention. Might not be as much as attention as they would, but people would like you more.. and then my mom gave me some alone time but said before closing the door “Think about that for a bit, trust me in the future you’ll be thankful” and I said “Okay mom, thank you for helping me” and I thought of it for minutes and I just needed a walk too. So i decide I needed a walk. It was rainy.. so I took my umbrella, still in my school uniform because it was refreshing, went out into the rain and walked for about 30 minutes and there I was... Standing on the sidewalk with my red umbrella, in my school uniform because it felt cold and refreshing. Keeping my black hair from being wet. Then I walked back home. On Monday I got prepared for school... i got there and I stepped outside of my car. I walked to the school. And I was ready for a new school day. I walked by the group of girls and they said “Oh look! It’s the cry baby.” “Hahah worthless” so I stood up to them and I just looked at them.. then I spoke.. “I’m honestly not the one thinking my life Kim Kardashian.” And they said “What do you mean?” And I said “I’m not the one bragging about that I just broke up with my boyfriend. I’m not the one emotionally rubbing trash into people’s face. And most ultimately I’m not acting like I’m a queen who rules over this school. I’ve learnt from my mistakes, You can continue being stuck in your 8 year old phase. I’ll move on and put that stuff in my past.....At least I’ve grown.” As I just glanced at them in a unimpressed look. But yet gave them a slight smile to them as well . And everyone else was silent and they started to put their attention to me. I was refreshed, ready for a new day and willing to start new start.. From that day I’ve learnt a life lesson: Appreciate what you have now, and don’t let someone else’s words ruin your day. Appreciating what you have is important. It makes people feel more enjoyable around you. Accepting is a good lesson to learn. Accept and appreciate what you have, we all have one life. Make every moment count. *The End*
