I'd like to see what kind of numbers this old guy could get on a punch force machine, just out of curiosity. since I can't be there to take a shot myself, I'd like to see a demonstration of power that is measurable. martial arts often look impressive and make good demonstrations but fall short when put to it for real. no offence gentlemen. I always enjoy the content though. the way Bruce lee did the 1-inch punch was different than what's shown here. looks like he's pushing not delivering sudden impact. from what I observed a lot of that technique is in the wrist. there's a snap that's whip like that happens. I haven't mastered the technique myself, but I haven't really tried either. it's not practical in my opinion and I only train basic things that are known to be effective.

Properly done JKD, uses the same principles of Tai Chi, and other Chinese Internal Arts Power Delivery method, called "Fajin" (explosive power). I mastered this Long long ago... to Lethal levels, using a mere Inch of Travel. Obviously, there was no way I was going to use it full power, to prove it. Instead, if I was sparring a fighter that was being Disrespectful.. I would use only about 15% of my total potentials. To date, Ive KO'd four different fighters from my LEAD guard hands vertical fist, to their foreheads. I used less than 6 inches of travel, and as said, no more than about 15% of my full potential capabilities. It was very easy to KO any fighter, using a Fajin expression. I was 6ft, but only a mere 150 to 155 lbs. max. (Very thin / Underweight). I didnt look very muscular. But my full potentials on the Sandbag, and the Metal BB bag... were downright Frightening. Before this point.. I knew that short range power was a good thing to have... but I had NO idea, that it would be anywhere near this level of potentials. But also... realize that not everyone that learns Inch power... does it effectively. Some copy Bruce Lee's "Explosive Push" demos, which are a replication of Tai Chi's explosive push demos. Lee sometimes added a little "Sting" on them... but for the most part, they were still basically just Powerful Pushes. However, Lee also knew the Real Deal... the Impact version, where the OP doesnt move more than a single step backwards... and the OPs internals feel like they are On Fire (and thats a LIGHT hit). Lee only taught the impact version, to 2 of his students, and made them Promise never to Teach nor Show this method, to anyone else. One of those students was James DeMile. When Bruce passed away... DeMile decided, that in the age of the Gun, it was not really a big deal to teach this technology... and so he released a small book (and video) on how to train and perform this technique. I had learned and mastered this long before I ran into DeMiles book, at a Martial Arts store. I quickly skimmed it.. and IMO, the descriptions were sub-par, and IMO, would create more confusion than actual results. In fact, I found hints in Bruce Lees older books, that were more valuable (Not Tao of JKD, the smaller books... which have far more technical details). Those hints, are what led me to creating my own special training device.. and mastering the technique in about 3 months, or nightly 1 hour sessions. Of course, I was already Masterclass level, in Wing Chun (with far more knowledge and skillsets than Lee ever got to learn, in that art). So with my existing Mastery of the Wing Chun vertical fist... and with my training intensity and frequency... I reached Lethal levels, very quickly. Not that long ago... there was a show called "Fight Science". I believe, Either "The Learning channel", or "The Discovery Channel", produced it. In it, a martial artist named Glen Levy, was asked to test his short range, "Fajin Hammerfist" technique. In the first test, his power was so great, that it destroyed the actual sensor. This was the same sensor, that stood up to the power of TKD kicks, Muay Thai kicks, and a Pro Boxers punches, without any issues. After that, they replaced the sensor, with something a lot more Radical. The kind of sensor that might be used to detect "plane crash" level impact forces. It measured Glens next strike, at over 12,000 psi. Sounds Impossible, right? As I believe the best pro boxers, get less than 2000 psi, and need a lot more "Runway" to achieve that. This measurement was so scary to the producers... that they didnt want to release it to the general public. So when they reported Glens power... they said that the forces were like those found, from getting into a car crash at 60 mph (Im paraphrasing, as my memory is a little fuzzy). You can search Glen Levy Fajin Hammerfist, and find at least two videos of Glen Dropping 2 different dudes, with his short range hammerfist. The larger of the two guys, is visibly in a Lot of pain... doubled over, kneeling on the mat.. grasping his chest.. likely having trouble even breathing, for quite some time. The thing is... Glen uses a little trick. You see, a hammerfist is a round delivery path, and that gives him more actual Runway distance to generate more power. As such, back in my best days.. I was able to deliver far more power than him... with far less runway space. Id guess, Id double his best impact potentials, easily, from seeing what he was capable of. And the thing is... as good as I am at Fajin... there are some guys like Chen Xiaowang (of Chen Family Tai Chi), that would probably produce 3 to 4 times as much as my best potentials... which is WAY beyond lethal levels of forces. You can see vids of Chen doing Fajin releases in the air... and when he does them, watch his legs closely.. as they shake violently afterwards. You will never see that kind of vibrational power, from a pro western boxers strike. Ive never seen a video of Chen using Impact based Fajin on a human... but Ive read that he once did a Zero-Inch demo (where you start out touching the OP), and he accidentally broke a few of the fighters ribs, as a result. Now, Fajin doenst have to be used with a punch, nor a single type of punch. It can be used with long range punches, like a Cross... or short hooks... And it can even be applied to Defensive hand techs. Not that long ago, I was doing a demo for an MMA fighter. I told him to try to hit me with any type of handstrikes. I told him, that he was allowed to use Both of his arms... but that I would limit myself to using a SINGLE arm against his two. He almost laughed in my face... but when he realized that I was being serious... he started to throw strikes at me. We previously agreed that he keep things at Medium levels of power, for safety sake. After about 2 minutes of trying, he was still unable to land a single hit on me... and he started to get angered from embarrassment. It was at this point, when he decided to use full speed, full body mass power / strength... with true intent to cause harm. He tried a combination: High right hook, followed by a left towards my abdomen. He assumed that with a single arm.. Id never be able to defend both my upper gate, and lower gate, quickly enough... I easily deflected his hook using an upwards forearm deflection. Then I took a single step backwards, dropping my arm vertically downwards into the path of his lefts incoming strike path. I used a downwards vectored forearm deflection, with about 10% level of Fajin energy on it. If he had kept his own power levels to medium, my 10% impact forces would not have caused harm to him... however, since he put in everything he had... it Multiplied the Impact potentials, and almost shattered his arm / wrist bone. He stopped sparring instantly... shocked to see that I was not on the ground, gasping for air... and that I was both still standing.. and that his arm was in great pain. He had no idea what just happened. He was grasping his arm, with his other hand, clearly in pain. He said "I had you! and then... ?!". I spend the next 2 minutes, showing him step by step, what had transpired, and how it all worked. He was seriously impressed, shook my hand, and called me a G0D. He said, he had never seen, nor felt anything like that in his entire career in the arts (of course). Before his arm got too much worse.. we had 3 more short exchanges, of less than 3 min each. He was unable to land a single hit, nor kick on me, in any of them. By that time, his arm was in severe pains, so we called it a night. We had a mutual friend there.. and he reported back to me... that before the end of the hour, the MMA fighters injury had swelled up nearly double in size... and that he was in great pains for many nights to follow. Im guessing, possibly a hairline fracture... but Im not sure. That again, was a short range strike.. and I again, only used about 10% on it. Also, the dude was about the same build as me... with a slight height and reach advantage. He also used to be in the US Military, and trained dudes how to fight, when he was there. According to him, he previously did Krav Maga.. but felt it was too unrealistic... so then went to train MMA. As such, he thought Kung Fu was trash... and it took a lot of nagging, before I could convince him, to try a physical demonstration.
@johndough8115
@johndough8115 5 ай бұрын
Part 2: Now... As Ive said.. a LOT of JKD dudes, dont know the real impact version (Fajin), of the JKD handstrikes. As such, when one dude with a JKD uniformed demo dudes came to order some Ice Cream from the shop I was working at.. I asked him if I could get a physical demonstration. I made sure to tell him, that I had many years as a hardcore martial artist.. and that, I had done Shaolin style Iron Body conditioning.. so not to go easy on me, as I wouldnt be easily injured. He agreed, and asked me for a phone book. I pulled out a 3" thick yellow-pages phone book from the back, and he had me place it in front of my chest. Now... a lot of these guys do certain "Cheats". One of the Cheats, is to use more than one inch. They often start with all the fingers extended, making it anywhere from a 3 to 6 inch strike. The other trick, is to quickly pullback about 6 inches, right before striking forwards. I was watching like a hawk, to see if he would use such cheats.. as well as expected that he would only know and do, the Push version of the technique. Boy was I wrong this time! He extended his fist towards the book, and the extended a single knuckle from it, placing it on the book, properly gauging an ACTUAL INCH of distance. After a moment, he "Twitched". No Pre-Pullback Cheating. His fist simply drove forwards, and BAM! I felt this wave of energy blast through my chest.. and it was so powerful... that I actually felt its Impact forces HIT the INSIDE FRONT FACE of my SPINE !!! This was the very first time in my entire time in the arts, that I was actually TERRIFIED. Why? Because at that moment, I was not certain that my spine, could hold up to that amount of force... and there was no way to roll away, nor absorb away, any of it. It felt like my spine was about to be driven out of my back! Realistically, I worried that it was going to be severed in half... My spine was forced upwards, as my body folded a bit forwards. I had only moved a single half step backwards... and that was mostly only because I was so shocked at the impact forces, that I totally lost track of my stance / footing (which actually may have helped saved me from a trip to the ER / Morgue). This guy knew the real deal.. and... he had about 2x the inch power potentials, that I had (it helped that he was probably nearly double my own mass). At that point, I felt like someone had poured gasoline on and in my chest... and lit it on FIRE. These burning pains were absolutely Unbearable. The pains were in the volume and shape, of a soccer ball, inside of my entire body. It hurt even more... from merely breathing... as the simple chest expansion and contractions... were making the pains worse. As such, I had to limit my breathing to be as shallow as possible. The dude seemed unhappy about how much power he had just delivered.. and extended his fist out again... going for a 2nd attempt. Normally, Im all for these types of demos, and would have took another blow. However, I barely survived this impact.. and quickly backed away, knowing I couldnt handle another blow... let alone, one with even more power output! These burning pains lasted for just shy of 4 HOURS! Just as my shift was about to end... I was strongly considering to drive myself to the Hospital, to get x-rays done... to make sure I was not internally damaged. Luckily, the pains finally subsided, about 5 minutes before my shift ended. I likely would have been experiencing pain for a lot longer, had I not trained in Iron Body Conditioning for so many years prior. That, and other Internal arts practices, that increased my Circulation, which help to greatly reduce Healing times. Now, I used to spar against artists of all different styles. A lot of these fighters, were often much larger and stronger than myself. As such, I was used to eating a lot of very powerful strikes and kicks... especially in the beginning, when I wasnt as skilled. I remember one time when I was out of shape.. but I foolishly wanted to attend a sparring event... that I got so winded that I couldnt maintain my guard. This masterclass level TKD fighter threw a kick that was so powerful, that it launched me about 12 ft away from him. I landed on my tailbone, upright, with my legs bent backwards at the knee. That impact actually caused some micro-fractures in my sternum.. that took about 6 months to heal. But as powerful of a kick as that was... it was BABYS play, compared to that JKD dudes Fajin INCH strike. Id eat those TKD kicks all day long, rather than risk a single 2 inch strike from that same JKD demo guy. That said... I was no slouch myself. I knew I was easily lethal in my potentials... able to cause internal ruptures, at my peak potentials... if I ever had to be forced to do so. This is no exaggeration... unlike those that dont train nearly as hard nor intense, rarely spar, dont hit the sandbags bare fists, dont workout... ...etc.

Part 3: Final words. Some of the Test machines that people are using, are actually not set up properly to be able to record Fajin energy correctly. They have Foam padding, which helps to reduce the impact transfers. They often are set up to measure push forces... rather than "IMPULSE" (explosive / instant) level impact forces. Some use a mix of Impact and penetration, to create a formulaic result... but they are still not very Accurate. I will also say, that there are many that can strike with Lethal levels of Fajin energy... may not be experts in Penetration strength / depth. These are two very different types of power potentials. With Fajin, you dont have to drive deep into the OPs tissues. Nor do you have to push through them... causing them to move far away from you. You can cause lethal damages, instantly, without moving the OP more than a few inches at most. Myself? I developed both abilities. I can do Fajin expression at shallow depths.. or I can use penetration forces... or a combination of both. Though, Id never compare my penetration power, to that of a pro boxers, or someone like a Choy Li Fut / Longfist practitioner... as I mostly focused my efforts on short range strikes.

日本では、一年中マスクをしている人は珍しくありません。 狭い国土の7割は森林で、あらゆる草木のアレルギーを持っている人がいるのです。私も半年はマスクしてます。辛いですよ〜💦

Although it is not mentioned in this video, he says he has been broken his front teeth. No matter how much you hate masks however, as the above comment says, people have their own reasons to wear masks so, I suggest that you should stop saying such arrogant things.
