This is a little awkward to do but well worth the extra time because the result is beautiful. How do you determine whether to slip the first stitch as if to purl or as if to knit?

Hi Karen on the Right side slip the first stitch as if to knit and on the wrong side as if to purl. and Remember this ribbing starts from the Wrong side.
