A short aerial view of the Chilean Antarctic base, 'Carvajal', located at the southern tip of Adelaide Island on the Antarctic peninsular. Formerly known as Adelaide Base when occupied by British Antarctic survey, Carvajal was renamed in the 1980s when Rothera Research Station opened and Adelaide base was taken over by Chile.
