In the UK "These birds are often caught and sold with common species being goldfinches being targeted. The trapping of birds, by any method, including bird lime and similar sticky traps, is illegal". One of the first battles that the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, or RSPB, fought was against this business but it wasn't until 1933 that the government passed an act to make the sale of wild birds illegal. If this video is made in the UK, KZfaq is wrong to allow its publication. We are down to ONEPERCENT of our songbirds, mainly because of this type of activity.

It seems you didnt actually set it properly it took foever for it to close...it is suppose to close as soon as the bird lands on the perch of the trap....anyways still got the job dine👍

It also is illegal in France and other countries since the intensity of trapping is too strong. It is such a beautiful bird that many people like it in cage at home. Disaster.
