We explore Hunting Hill in Ridley Creek state park. We will hike up to see how the land looks five years after a tornado came through the park. We will also stop to visit the Russell Family Cemetery that resides on the top of hunting hill. This cemetery was a small family plot that was used from 1820 to 1861. The headstones are very old looking and quite hard to read. The cemetery is surrounded by an old stone wall. Hiking to this location requires you to hike a portion of the equestrian trail and then take a small dirt trail up Hunting Hill. There is a trail, but the area tends to have high grasses so be cautious about ticks in this area. Come along with us to explore this lesser seen section of Ridley Creek State Park.
