Today I have the pleasure of visiting this extraordinary ten bedroom villa discretely position on the Altinho slope and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the sheer scale and breath-taking views of the surrounding landscape. The villa is perched on a hillside and offers panoramic views of Panjim city below and as the Mandovi river, making for the perfect backdrop to relax and unwind.
The interior of the villa is no less impressive. It's tastefully decorated with a mix of modern and traditional elements, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The spacious rooms are well-appointed with comfortable furnishings, and the attention to detail is evident in every corner. Whether it's the plush bedding, the high-end appliances, or the beautiful art pieces, every aspect of the villa has been designed with the guests' comfort in mind.
One of my favourite features of the villa was the sun decks that there generously laid out on multiple levels and areas offering privacy to all members of the household and their guests. The home is positioned to take advantage of the views, and I spent most of my time, taking in the scenery. The pool area is tucked away in a leafy area of the garden offering privacy and security. The house is also equipped with all the modern conveniences for a large family old and young. The garden offers plenty of seating and shade, making it the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon.
Altinho (Portuguese: High) is a hill neighbourhood of Panaji, the state capital of India's smallest state Goa.In the past it has been considered an elite residential colony, with the State's chief minister's residence and the Archbishop's palace located here. Although Altinho is a residential area, it is a home to Panaji's All India Radio station (whose precursor was the famed Emissora de Goa radio station of Portuguese times). It is also home to a sprawling set of quarters for government servants, and homes allotted to ruling party politicians.
Goas equivalent to Malabar Hills, Jubilee Hills and GK2, Altinho is the address to have. Today, you would be hard-pressed to find a home or a plot of land in the area. Not only is it the most expensive area in the capital, but also the sought after.
